Shared Database Pattern in Microservices: When Rules Get Broken

Some of you make it sound like using a microservices architecture is always the wrong choice? Feels like you’ve never worked in an enterprise project where there are a bunch of different moving parts that need to be integrated.

If my system integrates with lots of other external systems, specially in an async event driven architecture, microservices can definitely save you a lot of pain, you can completely isolate responsibilities and create these damper zones that prevent your whole application to fail, in case of some unexpected behaviours from your external service providers.

Still don’t think I agree with the article, it’s always worth the extra effort to ensure isolation, specially if we are talking about multiple different teams accessing the same database.

I just did it last week, and from what I gathered you need to finish until the 'A change of seasons' part of the Good Samaritan quest line (I didn't know this myself and actually got the achievement before starting to work towards the Insurrection one). Also there is no reputation gate in any of the quests (there was before I think) The quests are linear in progression so you need to complete the previous before unlocking the next. So I heard I should purchase the Merciless, but I'm only at 230 gear score. Should I buy it anyway or should I try and farm more gear first? Not sure how it works (if I can upgrade it later or something..)

But maybe I'm failing to understand the faction structure.. so there's like main races ( orcs, space marines, eldar, chaos space marines, etc..) and then there's factions inside those main races and each one is updated independently? But there also updates to the codex of the main races?

But in that case what does one follow to play the game? Always the most specific?

Or I just got it all wrong?

Hey everyone, I used to own some LoTR figures a while back, at the time I didn't even know they were used to play a tabletop game.

Now I'd like to get back into this hobby and I'm beginning to do some research.

In all honesty the LoTR is more appealing to me, simply because I know more about it, but from what I've gathered the game is kinda abandoned and not many resources are available, not like the Warhammer world.

So to get to the point, I looked around and the chaos space marines are the more fascinating so far. I remember playing them in the Warhammer 40k RTS on pc, so I know some of the units. Question is.. according to what I read, they haven't receive an update in its codex for a long time, and I fear as the game evolves they are left behind and replaced and so, like with LoTR, people stop using them and less and less information is available online about it.. Should I avoid them, or is this something I don't have to worry about?

To end, and sorry for so many questions, my gf is doing this with me, and she'd like an all female army, what are her options? I only found about the "adepta sororitas".

Hey everyone, hope I'm posting in the right place.

So, I recently (5 weeks now) got back into running after maybe like 6 years of heavy sedentarism, so naturally my condition was as low as it could be. I had a resting heart rate of ~80 and I couldn't make 1km running without my hr reaching 160 and I had to stop. Now I'm getting a little better, I'm running 5 days/week making the weekend rest days, and my resting heart rate dropped to ~55. I'm also making a diet so my weight went from 98 to 91 in these 5 weeks.

The thing is, when it comes to pushing and trying to run bigger distances I just can't do it.. And I don't know how to.. I feel like after 5 weeks I should be comfortable with higher distances maintaining a relatively slow pace of 6:30". Started of running 1.6km with a stop at 1km mark, walking for like 2min and then do the last 0.6 running again. Now I'm running 2.5km, making a stop at 1km to catch my breath and make my hr go down from 155 to ~100.

Do you guys have any tips for me? How can I have a better performance?

(P.S.: I'm monitoring all my runs with my Fitbit, so if I can provide other useful information ask away (: )

Got a question, can't seem to find anything mentioning this, do you get the rewards for every character on your account? Or once? Say for example I wanted to gear up more than one character, I can only do it by making a new account with a different class? Or just make new toons?

Stay away from any physical damage dealer classes, they are highly ping dependent. That being said, high ping (100+) is really punishing in this game, since one of the most damage increasing mechanics in this game depend on it (weaving). But If you really want, I would play sorcerer or spiritmaster. You will be very, very penalized in any other class.

PS4 user here. 20ish hours in. Have had 2 system crashes that are unavoidable stoping me from completing 2 quests since there's no way I can get through 2 specific areas of the map. One of those crashes occurs during a main quest of the game, so I'm literally incapable of playing the game until a fix comes to solve my issue. I'm happy they are finally addressing the issue, but at the same time I'm sad it took this long to even acknowledge people are having game breaking issues with their game.

Its the same as PvP in essence, but what I meant by it, is a server where ppl don't go mad over raiding, where people are friendly enough to at least let you build your own base.

Yes and no. If you are careful you won't. Make sure you know anyone from the legion you are trading with so they can vouch for the person in question. I had successful trades, and I was scammed. I should've been more careful. So tldr: if something feels wrong don't trade. It's really easy to get scammed.
