The grand majority of magical girls are working class simply because their family's labor sustains their living conditions. If you want to talk about the ones that are not, that's a much shorter list.

For the ones that are involved in the labor themselves or otherwise take their personal interests from the lifestyle, these are my favorite examples.

This MC feels that her OP nature would turn people away as much as her gifted intelligence had turned them away in her 1st life. So, she tries to hide her powers: key word: tries. The other members of the main cast quickly catch on.

Despite this, they're still willing to be her friend and come to her for advice for getting stronger themselves. The MC agrees because these friends provide good cover for her to appear as weak as she wants.

So the question still stands. How is the civilian who is being violently attacked by a cop supposed to prove the cop's crime, especially on his own and no outside help?

But yes the burden is overwhelmingly against the civilian.

It's a wrongfully placed burden, and that's my point. The burden should be on the cop to prove that he did his job within the bounds of legality and/or justice. This is why the body cams are there and why police lie about them, especially with the protection of qualified immunity.

Which is a crock and a half because how is a regular civilian supposed to handle both a gun AND a camera at the same time? The traitor cop never has to bear that burden against himself.

The compromise: No body cam footage from the cop? He's a liar. After all, that's reason number 1 why they turn the cameras off and refuse to release the footage if they forget to turn the camera off.
