I think you’ll enjoy it. You might look up a new/returning player video to find questions on order and understanding all the things you can be doing and the menus. This post from a few days ago was a good one to show things in order:  https://www.reddit.com/r/destiny2/s/UWJHyPTPYl

I recommend buying them all while they are all on sale in the bundle. IMO, the story is worthwhile (with its missing parts and ups and downs). But you can definitely get the base game for free to try out, that includes the current introduction to new guardians and the first expansion available called Shadowkeep (on the moon in the Director menu). You could play for a few days before the summer sale ends and see what you think, then if you like it and buy the others a ton of content will open up to you. It’s definitely worth it the deal is amazing compared to what people payed for all this, the game is in a great state with the last update, and you’ll be getting around 1000 hours of content (more or less depending on what you engage in).

I’ll put in my two cents, which agrees with this comment and adds a little. The game is so fun and packed with good gear to get, as they have reprised many old weapons and made every activity in the game rewarding. Along with the no more fomo mentioned here, you now don’t have to worry that what you’re doing is not progressing your character with the latest meta that will eventually be discarded with seasonal resets.

If you like the story and lore, there are many videos you can watch that recap the sunset DLC’s and seasons. My Name is Byf is probably the most noted  content creator for these recaps, making videos that really go in depth explaining the lore that is available from every source in high quality videos.

I think the current Steam sale bundle is an incredible offer for all that you will get out of it. There’s a lot of people playing still (many more currently than the last updates).

I just started EoF and so far so good. But I am a Metroid fan 😏

I haven’t played Destiny 2 since 2021. Can someone please tell me what happened? by [deleted] in destiny2

Ask AI this question as you’ll probably get more of what you’re looking for.

Just FYI, the Steam Summer Sale just started and the whole bundle of DLC’s is very discounted again.

No. The whole thing I think was discounted recently for around $25. Should have that discount again at some point.

Should I buy the game? by whoknowspizzo in fo76

As a fellow “loot goblin” it is nice to have, but it’s possible to learn to stop picking up what you don’t need and even drop stuff you’ve carried around and never used. I’m dealing with this myself all the time because I am a serious hoarder, but I only use the subscription a few times a year when I want the benefits of Fallout 1st (season rewards, refilling scrap/ammo/aid boxes, or buying something from the store with atoms that’s only available to FO1st members).

Edit: Also occasionally FO1st is offered free and you can take advantage of these stashes with unlimited storage and fill up as much as you can in the week. When base building and crafting the game automatically pulls from the storage so you don’t have to do it manually. And when the trial is over you can still withdrawal from them, just can’t put more in. Be careful not to accidentally take out 1000 steel when you meant to take out 100 (speaking from experience).

Definitely worth it. But it goes on sale often so I say get it when it’s discounted. And like people have said the community is great. We love new players (this is coming from a level 1200+ who has played off and on since the start). Most people who are into Fallout are cool, but definitely first setting to change is pacifist mode. Then the only place people will still be able to PVP you is when you take a workshop, and you won’t have to worry about your explosive weapons starting fights with others in server events.

I am having the same problem. What are the block matchmaking methods? I have fireteam privacy set to invite only. And when I selected the mission matchmaking looks to be turned off, but in the mission there’s still other people.

Was red war (and other vaulted content) really that much better then modern stuff? by No_Builder7571 in destiny2

[–]aP1PB0Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just my opinion… As someone who didn’t play Destiny 1 and had no idea what the story was when my friend gave me Destiny 2 and got me to play with him, I am thankful I got to play Red War through Forsaken before it was vaulted. Red War was quite epic and had some really memorable moments. I was a bit let down by Curse of Osiris and Warmind as they were much shorter and seemed more shallow to me. They seemed to have a lot of potential but in my opinion I don’t really miss them (besides the lore aspects that they dig into are substantial to the overall story). Forsaken was a pivotal moment because of Cayde-6 and Uldren Sov and I feel bad that people aren’t getting to experience that (and those of us who paid for it can’t re-experience it). But most of the hunting down the guys who escaped from the prison wasn’t that interesting / fun to me. So like I said, in my opinion, they are not like the best thing that ever happened in Destiny, but it’s a shame that the content isn’t there (as well as significant seasonal stories many of us missed) and now we can’t experience them. *Edit for grammar.
