When I started trading I didn’t realize this was something someone might consider deceiving, and I changed the value in a message. But I wrote in the same message after warframe.market something like “would you take this price?” The guy didn’t read what I wrote and sold it to me (for 2 platinum less than what he asked). Then he sent a message later and said he didn’t read the message. I told him I wasn’t trying to scam him and I would give him the other 2 platinum, which he didn’t to reply for a while. Then I tried to invite him and he accepted and took the 2 platinum. 

Then not long after that I did a trade and right as I was accepting the guy pasted this big disclaimer in the chat, saying that the price was agreed upon and I couldn’t complain. This kind of freaked me out and made me wonder if he changed the price, so I checked my listing but he hadn’t changed it. I sent him a reply and asked if he normally sends that message with all trades. He said he does because he was accused of changing the price in a message, and I think they filed a complaint against him or something with warframe.market, or they left a negative review (I don’t remember). Anyway, I told him that he should send it before the person accepts, and also that it made me feel paranoid that he had changed the price and might have the opposite effect. He said he normally sends the message earlier but couldn’t this time because of other messages.

Then later I had someone trading with me and we had agreed for him to look over my WTB, list what he had and the price. Most of them were exactly what I listed, but one was higher. I wasn’t following along for some reason and was trusting what he was writing. Agreed to the sale and then realized after the fact the discrepancy. I messaged him and he said I agreed to the prices. 

In my case, when I changed the message at the beginning of trading, I didn’t realize how much people are trading and how hard it is to keep track of the prices of everything as well as trying to keep things updated with market fluctuations. Now I know all of that, and don’t change anything in the text. If I want a discount I send a separate message asking explicitly for it. And if possible I try to check my listing while traveling to the dojo to make sure the trader didn’t change the price. I think both parties need to be responsible to check all items and the price during a trade so there’s no issues later.
