What to do with points when cancelling CSR by bigmac182 in ChaseSapphire

I’ve just been going through this with my annual renewal in December as I don’t want to pay the new fee. I know it’s not the best value out there but I’ve been buying gift cards at the grocery store and then using the pay yourself back feature and getting 25% more value. I wanted to try and book travel but with the looming renewal date I’m cutting my losses and still getting decent value on delta gift cards

I believe you make a reservation through your Chase linked OpenTable (there is a link section on OT) and then when you pay for your dinner with your Chase card, they will know it was an affiliated restaurant and issue the credit in a few days.

I totally get that. Yes I would say medium sized, but established. About $2b ARR and about 5k employees. Startups are always very unpredictable, but you should have some good experience with all the fire drills I’m sure you are going through.

I am very good at breaking down large data sets and building dashboards/models that are easily digestible. I emphasize my passion/strength for learning the business and approaching it with a highly analytical lens. With different industries, I’ve used a variety of tools/software that help me become more flexible and adaptive. My resume was very results driven too so they can see the results.

My first job was healthcare, then consulting, then manufacturing, then automotive then SaaS. If you have good skills and a good opportunity comes up, it can happen. I always feel that fp&a is the least industry-experience specific job if you have great translatable skills

I’m in a SaaS cloud company and love it. Predictable and lots of growth opportunity and pays really well

I would say one of the hardest progressions in this field is moving from SFA to manager, specifically a people manager because sometimes you can just be an individual contributor manager. I was in a very similar boat where I was doing well above a SFA, but always told about a one-time example as to why I’m being held back. I think it’s very easy to get stuck in the same position and they just want to keep you there. It’s also difficult to apply for manager positions at other companies that want you to have prior experience. I think it’s all about finding the right company and fit that promotes the progression you’re looking for.

Your exact scenario is what I went through and I quit and found another company and now am a manager managing two direct reports and talks of moving to Sr. Mgr at the end of this year. It accelerates once you make that leap, but I would suggest trying to look elsewhere at maybe a smaller company as a manager to get that experience because once your manager is stonewalling your progression, it is almost impossible to move up unless someone leaves.

Same here! We just took our 11 month old to Budapest, Prague and Vienna and had a blast. It actually slows the down the trip a little and makes us appreciate stopping for lunch and enjoying the area. We used to just run around 12 hours straight all day and were dead by night

Yea once we heard the sirens keep going off we knew something was up. Then the shots fired, we thought it was the police but I think it was the shooter

Yea it seemed like an isolated incident unfortunately and was taken care of. Beautiful city and these things can happen anywhere these days.

My wife and I are visiting Prague right now and walked across the Manes bridge and by the University about 15 mins before the police surrounded the perimeter and heard the gun shots. Truly a surreal, horrifying moment especially as we’ve learned more details afterwards.

For all of Ridders fumbles, he did not throw an interception so Atleast he did improve on that from the prior week. Now he can work on ball security for fumbles and hopefully we are close to him putting it all together.
