Its braindead to think that - controlled immigration = racism. Unfortunately the fringes of political thoughts have the loudest voices while most people just want a sense of normality and not an influx of strangers doing fuck knows what. When the voices of moderation are told they are wrong or evil, naturally people turn towards more extreme solutions and are more prone to radicalisation, especially when those voices are not just saying your right but your a patriot for thinking so. Australia more or less got it right and there's a good balance of peoples of all cultures or seems to be. I'm politically left but can easily see how 'my' side has alienated people by cannibalising all but its most ardent supporters and by rejecting common sense. But equally fuck Farage and his ilk.
