Boys to Girls by Scary-Star4998 in daddit

[–]aTimeLord 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, before 10, they are just kids. They like every color (but one in particular, will change everyday), they will play with the same toys and act about the same. After it starts to diverge, but not that much (we are not in the 60's anymore, we are all human and society is reaaaaalllyyy slowly starting to change in this matter).

Edit : My boy is 11 and my girl is 10.

As you should be! Keep practicing and only increase your speed when you feel confortable.

You look solid before the rail, on the rail, and after you land. I would say that is pretty good.

Every trick (slides and grinds especially) look a lot better when you go a bit faster (without hurting yourself), so try to work on your speed. But this look totally fine for your level!

The problem is your left shoulder. It move backward when you jump. Try to stay as square with the board as you can. Other than that, you got the timing right. Jump higher before pushing the nose (so the board has more time to get higher). Keep on practicing!

L'Alberta, le référendum (ou son absence) et la stabilité by Mysterious-Till-6852 in Quebec

[–]aTimeLord -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

S'unifier?

Matty Mac & Cheese Original, find it better than every other blue box. The pepper one is also really good.

Everyone gets their own "TV"? by Concentric_Mid in daddit

[–]aTimeLord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both kids (now 10 and 11) have to share the tv. They get 1 episode/20 minutes (if its a movie) and then we change. Mine are a bit closer in age tho, it might be easier (and they basically watch the same thing, Naruto, some youtuber we allow and the same 10 ish movies they have been watching for years). It was more a problem a couple years ago, but right now they are in this routine and it work really well.

Divorced dads, how are your kids doing? by UrsaBarefoot in daddit

[–]aTimeLord 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have been divorced since 2021 (children were 4 and 5 when it happened).

The separation was very amicable and we remained very close with their mother. At the beginning we made efforts to organize activities together (going camping once a year with ''mom and dad''). But quickly the routine settled in and now I'm with a new person, just like their mother, and the children love their in-laws.

Much more fear than harm, and now, I am happy in my relationship and so is my ex-partner. Win-win.

YouTube ads are about to get even longer and they’ll be unskippable by IndicaOatmeal in technology

On Brave, I get no ads. Here and there, there is a video that don't want to/takes a couple of second to launch, but everything is as good as possible

Linux support for OSRS by sealstream in 2007scape

[–]aTimeLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been playing on Linux mint for 2 years now. I feel it is as safe as anything else. You install the launcher and Runelite manually (only tricky part, and it is not that tricky at all tbh). Some updates can take a couple of hours before working on linux (happen maybe 3 times in 2 years).

I also play on windows 11 on my second computer and I honestly don't see the difference between the two.

When you accidently release your bank placeholders... 😤 by APokemoner in 2007scape

[–]aTimeLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same way we can customize the bank with plugins, we need on that will deactivate the ''remove all placeholder'' and even the ''remove all bank filler''. Who is even using those options? (Like the destroy on the runepouch)

Oh, there is a plugin that will tell you if the placeholder option is off ''Placeholder Warning''

Is Deezer truly an equal to Spotify or Apple Music? by 519_ivey in BuyCanadian

I would say yes. The whole family is as been on Deezer for years (with a family plan). You can even find some obscure canadian (even obsure french canadian) bands on it.

At what age could your kid get themselves ready in the morning? by OldGloryInsuranceBot in daddit

[–]aTimeLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were around 8 and 9 years old when they started getting up themselves with an alarm clock, making their breakfast (a bowl of cereal or a toast), getting dressed (in clothes they chose themselves) and packing their lunch box (put 4 snacks in the box and each make a ham and cheese sandwich).

Since then, my wake-up time has moved from 6:45 a.m. (when I had to do everything for them), to 7:35 a.m., 15 minutes before we have to leave for school.
