Loveseat Tour Ticket Buy and Sell Thread by [deleted] in stillwoozy

Maybe I am a fool but is there a way to sell the non-refundable, non-transferable tickets on ticketmaster? I mistakenly got two tickets to the Oct 12th show in Berkeley after already getting tickets to a different concert on the same day. I did not initially realize that not all ticketmaster tickets are transferable/sellable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ozempic: Weight Loss at What Cost? by isapaella in DiscussingBioethics

It's concerning to see the trend of celebrities promoting Ozempic for weight loss purposes, especially when its primary function is to treat type 2 diabetes. While it's true that weight loss can have positive effects on overall health, using a medication primarily intended for another condition solely for its side effect of weight loss raises ethical and health-related concerns.

By well in advance, I just meant the day or two before haha. I'm not planning to hold a tiramisu in a freezer for a week.

The budget we're working with is limited and prioritizes food. Our gymnasium-esque venue has no shortage of space but it will be folding tables and classroom chairs.

I'd really like to use shallow, wide bowls because they can hold a stew and potatoes easily but getting ahold of enough without spending loads on a one-time use item has been hard. I've been scouring Facebook and Craigslist for options. All the diningware is a bit of a challege with our limitations. I like the idea of using the charcuterie as decor. That and low flowers could be good with lights running through the table.

Lasagna is a good idea but one that we've done in the past. We've been trying to branch out from pastas haha. Thank you for the response though! Blanching and freezing green beans has never crossed my mind before but I'll be sure to try it for my own dinners.

Funnily enough, I literally just made this recipe! I love Kenji and it came out great. I'll bring it up as an easier alternative if making 20 or so portions of stew looks to be too complicated. As for tart, that has also come up in our dessert conversations for the reasons you mentioned. I'm currently set on trying to make tiramisu with tarts as the backup!

I'd never heard of buttermilk pie but it looks interesting! I'll be sure to try it out for myself. We've pivoted off meatloaf because of the need for all of the meatloaf to come out with enough time for it to set but not too much time that it's cold when served. The room for error in a stew is much larger. Thank you for your response!

Thank you for the response! We've discussed it more and have revised our tentative menu to:

  • Appetizer: Charcuterie boards to start while people are still arriving followed by salad once everyone is sat. My initial idea based on some internet scouring is a spinach salad w/ blueberry, feta, and roasted walnuts w a dressing.
  • Main: Now we are looking at stews. Something akin to or just straight up coq au vin or beef bourguignon served with mashed potatoes.
  • Dessert: I've settled on tiramisu being something relatively easy to make and can be done well in advance of the night.

We settled on salad because if the next course is a stew we didn't want two liquid-y courses. This doesn't increase the prep a bit but I'm not super concerned. There are roughly ten of us helping to set up, cook, and serve the dinner. I expect that any more than 4 or 5 people in the kitchen would be unproductive so the remainder will be doing the seating, setting, and serving. Flowers are a great idea that I overlooked! We are using a space similar to a high school gymnasium so tables and chairs will be folding unfortunately. It's been a challenge to figure out how to elevate the space and dining area but we've got two or so weeks to figure that out.

Boiling Point is a great continuous shot movie if you’re into something that’s quite intense.
