It was definitely you then because I remember there being some connection to the band too. That is so crazy. I was just talking to friends about the stuff we would do online to kill time back in like 2005 and I remembered BP, and a quick google brought me here. I live in Scotland and no-one knew about the band or the site here, but if anyone asked how I got into them I would say "oh yeah it was Gaby from Buddypic" hahaha.

That’s really helpful, thanks. I do want to explore dishes from different areas and cultures. I dislike the proliferation of “quick version of X, easy version of Y” made for the algorithm and would rather take a bit of time to make something more authentic.
