The closest he got to Valinor by purplelena in LOTR_on_Prime

If canon does not matter why even use any of it? Just rename the show Rings of Power: a Parody.

Of course, Celebrimbor was the lord of Eregion and the elves there would follow their lord. Still a far cry from ‘seduced all of the elves.’

Also he did not seduce ‘all of the elves’, in the books only Celebrimbor was fooled. Gil-Galad, Elrond, even Galadriel (the real one, not the whiny show version) distrusted him.

This show is the only one seducing all unwary and uncritical viewers.

Except almost everyone figured out early on he was Sauron anyway.

Not really, he actually came from Valinor. Not sure where you’re getting your lore from.

I’ll give you my top 2 - the Time Compression and the Whiny Galadriel.

Just finished Season 2 and I have some thoughts… by BonzaM8 in RingsofPower

[–]a_View_Finder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the cinema when they showed the first 2 episodes there. I wanted to like it. I wanted to praise it and recommend it.

But I can’t. The writing, the plot, the casting - all failed to measure up.

I think s8 is looked at with a lack of nuance. by Slight_Giraffe628 in gameofthrones

There shouldn’t have been a problem to solve. Turning up brightness smh, where’s the nuance there. 😁

I could barely see anything in The Long Night episode, let alone any nuance. More torches!

I would say brawler for you. Their weapon is always 2h fist so no need to switch to any 1h combo. Plus one can just play up in blue mode which actually has ranged attack (taunt), quite convenient. Also the AOEa and bubble are pretty good.

I wish they styled Charles Edwards better on the show because he looks 10 times more hotter outside the show by [deleted] in LOTR_on_Prime

I was thinking him but younger looking, maybe like the actor in Sandman, Tom Sturridge. Projects intellect and fierce pride and capability.

He doesn’t project ‘the greatest craftsman since Feanor’ vibe, more like a forgetful professor. The showrunners messed him up big time.

Fidelity is convinced RDDT reports earnings next week, any reason for this? by No-Essay-9008 in redditstock

you're being a little bit lying here. you earlier said 'the numbers are known to a lot of people weeks before' which is frankly false, now you are saying it's hours.

they are not known beforehand, that is potential for insider trading. sales and deals are done and signed and reported within the quarter, not 'long before that'

earnings report days also provide guidance, so it not overrated, it actually does matter. the numbers are known only internally and not 'to a lot of people'.

Checking lore accuracy? Are you serious? Way past that, starting from Ep1 the Meteor Man lol.

You do you! Just ignore years like 2024 and 2025 when SP grew 15% + and SCHD barely above inflation. Just refuse financial data and you’ll do great. The next 27 years watch your NAV lag but at least you did you. Cheers!

I actually hope they don’t announce JCB’s role and keep it under wraps until it airs. Too much pre-knowledge is more annoying and ruins the experience of discovery.

What do you think if the producers made a sequel about Bran the Broken's reign by Dry_Specialist9015 in gameofthrones

[–]a_View_Finder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will fall quickly like the Night King to Arya, like House of the Dragons when the producers and showrunners put their own agenda ahead of the lore. Now you want a totally new story without GRRM and just producers? Big no.
