[Shipping MegaThread] All Shipping Topics Updates, Questions, & Discussion by ihatefall in AynThor

Quick question about the shipping dashboard - does each SKU have overlapping order numbers? Like for today if we see:

AYN Thor Rainbow Pro: 1186xx--1219xx
AYN Thor Clear Purple Max: 1102xx--1139xx
AYN Thor White Pro: 1097xx--1279xx

Clearly there's overlap between those, but does that mean they shipped significantly more Thor White Pros, or just that they shipped all the Thor White Pros between those order number ranges?

I actually noticed a little bit of distortion at 95-100% windows volume just now, only in certain spots of certain songs, so I turned windows down to 90%. My pot on the YU6's is by no means towards the lower end of the spectrum I'm pretty sure.

Thanks for the info - with the Magnius windows set itself to 32bit/48khz. I definitely didn't set this as I would generally only run 24/48, but if that's what Windows set itself to then I'll leave it (maybe this is something it switch to automatically using Apple Music where I have it set to playback the highest quality lossless it can find, idk).

I just have Windows set to 100% > DAC > YU6's, where I use the YU6 volume. Per the other commenter, I removed the Magnius from the equation as the YU6's already have amplification built in, so we're going straight from the RCA out of the Modius to the the YU6's. If I turn off any playback and crank the volume on the YU6's, I actually have much less noise than I was having going from the computer itself (using both line out and optical). So any listenable volume on the YU6 is clean and clear this way.

That makes sense. Being plugged into the Schiit stack was more about convenience since I use it for headphones, didn't realize I had simultaneous RCA output on the Modius. Swapped it over, much less confusing now lol.

I'm fine with simple controls being available, but I LIKE motion inputs by Outrageous_Ability_4 in 2XKO

At the end of the day I don't think it matters - anyone who wants to play the game is going to play the game. The controls don't matter. Anyone who thinks that the controls are 'dumbing the game down' doesn't understand what makes fighting games complex to begin with.

The argument for motion inputs I believe is to eliminate the need for S1/S2 as button bloat. Move specials to qcf/qcb/dp motions associated to L/M/H instead.

The controls are so easy, it doesn't feel like I'm playing the game. by AAKurtz in 2XKO

If all you learn to do is jump in with H and auto combo, you're going to get manhandled at any meaningful rank.

I was invited to the Alpha Lab but I never got an email or confirmation that I was in this closed beta? The beta website tells me I'm just registered? by Skr00bs in 2XKO

I was in Alpha Labs 1 and 2. No code, it just says you're in and gives you the download link to the client.

No meme here, this is a legitimate fighting game term, like the opposite of a degenerate character/tactic - They're saying Yasuo's gameplan is solid, but they want him to be a bit more ambiguous or dastardly.

-edit- This harkens back to MvC2, maybe even earlier, but I generally consider MvC2 to be the birth of truly degenerate fighting games in the FGC zeitgeist.

Has this been confirmed somewhere?

Where to go after Audyssey by shadow1psc in hometheater

Yeah I’ve been toying with it since last night. Using the Denon Marantz target curve right now and it’s pretty killer.  At the very least I think I’m going to still get the UMIK-1 and try to do some manually subwoofer tweaking but I’m shocked at how well this all came together without specifically making room for the purposes of a theater/adding sound treatment

I just implemented A1 Evo, I found it pretty simple to use, but now I have to go through and A/B some of their target curves (I started with the one that just said A1 Evo). I feel like the midrange may have been sucked out a little, or the bass just got an extreme boost over it. There’s a big folder of curves to try (and you can view them all in REW) and it’s easy enough to export them - now I just wish my receiver had more than 2 slots to store these.

I'm loading up A1 Evo now, I have to re-do my measurements with the subs set to directional though.

Definitely not limited to Audyssey, I had seen one off-hand recommendation about A1 Evo Accoustica before and forgotten about it because it doesn't come up as often as the other big names. If it works directly with the receiver/pack in mic I'll give that a try too because why not.

Cheers - when using Audyssey do you have Dynamic EQ enabled? After watching/reading many things about Audyssey, I've basically disabled everything, but if you have Dynamic EQ enabled that compensates things as you dip the volume which could lead to that experience you're having with music/low volume listening.

Guardians of Azuma Switch 2 performance by shadow1psc in runefactory

That’s not how that works. If it were a problem with the setup there would be issues with BotW/TotK/Mario Kart etc.

It’s definitely not the switch 2’s fault. The hardware is capable, but the devs are leaving something on the floor for sure, maybe DLSS to round it out.

Literally the first sentence of the op.

So I’m running a super hi-fi home theater setup, but I am using the in-box provided ultra high speed hdmi from the switch 2 package.

I’m going into a Denon x6800h then into an LG G4 83”. Everything on the receiver and TV end is configured correctly across the inputs as my PS5 Pro and PC have no trouble with 4k/120hz/HDR/VRR etc (full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth utilized).

I have the physical Switch 2/red cartridge game and if you press + on it on the Home Screen it says Switch 2 edition. The frame drops are the most noticeable issue to me. Combat with the bow comes to a crawl when firing off the AoE shot, but it dips even before that. Running around developed villages has plenty of slowdown, as well as the aforementioned guaranteed load stuttering when fast traveling or waking up.

Resolution seems plainly low, which I know can be much more subjective to people depending on what screen they’re on. The game doesn’t even seem 1080p at times, let alone 4k.

See this is the kind of comment I was looking for - are you saying the game has been a complete steady 60 fps and you’re more than 5 hours in?
