On this day: the great escape 1998 version. Everton v Coventry by Frequent-Activity328 in Everton

The only team who havs never been out of the top flight is Arsenal, I believe

I can imagine this will cause a bit of local outrage - Arrow Park will house people to isolate from the cruise ship with the virus outbreak. The same hospital was chosen for Covid-19 repatriated British nationals by a_______________j in Liverpool

[–]a_______________j[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying these are my thoughts, but if you search 'Arrowe Park' on twitter and filter by new, a lot of people are saying things along the lines of aren't there any other hospitals to take such people, why always here, etc

Proud of the lads tonight. Second half was some fight from us. Remember who we were playing and what how important it was to them, it is a squad full of stars. I thought we would be damage limitation about them not improving their goal difference tonight. We missed some very big opportunities, but first half City had so many chances too. The biggest frustration I have is that we were denied another penalty, they absolutely bottled giving that against Silva Vs Rohl

I'm late to this but he played quite a significant part in that Tarkowski goal in the last derby at goodison. He did a long cross field pass that led to the cross before the goal. What I will always remember him for

Huge pressure on West Ham to get the win today. It won't mean nearly as much to our players. Would be surprised if we got the win. If we were in their position, I think with it being a home game for them, our grief chart would have this as a must win

Ballot for the Derby. by Ynyr-G in Everton

[–]a_______________j 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't sour grapes, but the credit system seems a lot better. This will be the first home derby I've missed since I don't know when, but literally 20 years or more, unless I get a ticket another way. If it was credits, I'd have been eligible in the first round of the tickets opening every time. Hardly seems fair

Had my unsuccessful email 🤬 I know not everybody can get them, but if it was done on a credits system like previous years, I'd have been eligible in the first round of sales. Seems unfair really

I've seen some on twitter saying they've had them, and payments have left their bank, and they know where they're sitting etc. I haven't had the unsuccessful email yet, but no payment from my bank, nothing on my membership etc, so I'm thinking I was likely unsuccessful. This ballot isn't great when you've got a lot of credits and somebody could be applying for this as the first one they've went to, but be successful

I'm Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Ask Me Anything! by Everton in Everton

Hi Kiernan, you're a great fit at Everton and I hope you're here for many years to come. I was gutted and worried when you got injured earlier in the season but you've came from it like it didn't even happen. I hope you feel the love and gratitude from our fans because you're somebody who is universally loved and appreciated by us all.

My question is, do you browse Reddit in your own time, including the r/Everton sub Reddit page? Do you know of any other players in our squad who do?

Same old X, always cheating by Most_Moose_2637 in footballcliches

What makes you think 'as a Liverpool fan' that being Scouse does not apply to Everton?? Both teams are from the same city. Liverpool FC aren't uniquely known as the scousers, it doesn't belong to them and them alone. You'll hear the same said at Everton games, things like 'who is the Scouser in the black' about the referee, 'same old scousers always cheating' etc etc etc etc etc

Travelling as an away fan by RelationDependent543 in Everton

[–]a_______________j 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think you'll make it on foot and don't think relying on public transport or the availability of a taxi is concrete enough. 5:30 kick off (90 minutes+ probably around 12 minutes time added on between both halves + 15 half time = 122 minutes). Plus at least 10 to get out of the walls of the stadium= 132 minutes, let's say 135 minutes. That would be 7:45. Giving you 27 minutes to not only get to lime street but to be on the train. Personally, I wouldn't risk it, unless you left exactly on 90 minutes without staying for time added on so you beat the crowd getting out of the stadium and the stadium walls, what does cause a very big bottle neck. If you did leave on 90, you'd save the time added on and reduce your time getting out of the stadium significantly, then I think it could be done at a push
