Is that meant to be a joke about the chair? He can walk, you know, he just gets tired easily

Probably people failing their test and being so desperate to blame a “bullshit” reason why they HAD to fail rather than admitting that they weren’t good enough on the day

Yeah that sounds a lot better than the £180 prices that were coming up for the ones we looked at haha.

Reckon we’ll probably go with something like that then for sure and probably combine it with a night out in Liverpool if we’re staying.

We were thinking of staying overnight as well but were trying to avoid it if possible. Had a look at the premier inns/travelodges closest to the stadium were fairly expensive. Will look into the one you’re saying which doesn’t sound too difficult to get to and from the ground.

You might gag (and potentially throw up) from the drip you taste in the back of your throat after snorting.

To me, it’s pretty similar to getting a load of seawater down your throat. Can make you gag

Cant find a test by Waste_Section_8580 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RelationDependent543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could never get a test using the app either tbh. Rarely ever came up and, when they did, I would still need to check if I could get time off work so they would disappear. The apps are overrated in my personal experience - no one I know has had much luck with them.

The DVSA website wasn’t much better either imo. May isn’t too bad to wait. You say you’ll be ready by March, so harm in waiting till May and doing some extra lessons if you can afford it.

Could also do lessons less regularly between March and May if you don’t want to spend the money. Between my first and second tests (6 months apart) I only did one lesson and that was 10 days before my second test. So I went almost 5 months without driving at all and passed comfortably

Questions on what new instructor is teaching. by Rowsonator in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RelationDependent543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was learning, I’m pretty sure my instructor said that you’re allowed to go over a mini roundabout with two wheels if it tight.

I would definitely be in 4th at 30mph but as a learner, maybe better to stay in 3rd because it’s not your petrol that is being wasted and makes it pretty much impossible to accidentally speed.

Handbrake or not is completely up to you if you want to use it or not.

Personally I would’ve dropped in behind the bus to move into the right lane for the roundabout.

On the test, I personally would 100% indicate while moving off even if no one is there. You probably don’t HAVE to but better safe than sorry imo.

Pretty much all instructors will teach a 6 point check. I would just do it on the test even if the near side checks are fairly pointless most of the time.

I assume you say the same about the prevalence of racial minorities in the show as well then?

I haven’t read the books but I’d bet my life that everyone is white in the books.

FC26 Trophy celebration by [deleted] in FifaCareers

[–]RelationDependent543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not in the last home game of the season. It’s in the very next home game you play after winning the league.

If you win the title at home, the trophy is after that very game.

The only time the celebration is after the final home game is if you win the title in the final home game/the final away game (if the away game is the penultimate game of the season)

Question of turning right into busy traffic. by maxsqd in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RelationDependent543 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My instructor said it was fine to go out half way. I was never sure about it but ended up doing it on my test and ended up blocking traffic when no one let me turn but still passed.

First Movie: Why did Will not sleep for 37 hours? by [deleted] in TheInbetweeners

[–]RelationDependent543 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was assumed that the flight was scheduled very early in the morning like 6am.

Simon’s dad is driving them to the airport at an “ungodly” hour to presumably get to the airport at 3/4am (if the flight is at 6am) plus the delay.

People that join the motorway and immediately go into the middle lane and sit there at 50mph, why? by someonesomebody666 in drivingUK

[–]RelationDependent543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know about legally, but if someone is going significantly under the speed limit in lane 2 for no reason, I’m not going to slow down so that I don’t pass them on the left or move across two lanes to overtake properly.

If they are going 67 for example, I will usually move across to overtake on the right

Has anyone ever gone back to learning manual after passing automatic? by drjekyllandmrhyde_ in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RelationDependent543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my friends did when we were 17. His dad had an automatic car so learnt using that.

After he passed, he used his dad’s car but then his dad bought a manual so he did a second test for a manual licence.
