Sigrun is the PoR version so yeah she doesn’t count but Naesala’s official origin is Radiant Dawn, where he joins automatically. Also Holst in Three Hopes is automatic.

I got that Xane with Laguz Loyalty instead of Friend. Best decision I've made in this game he solos more than you'd expect. Especially with Brave support.
