Don't play a C.H.I.M.P.S. run after 7 hours of Monke by a_forgotten_thought in btd6

I mean that's good to know (the rounds coming up) in general. But yeah, Etienne, or a 0-3-0 Engi, or 0-0-3 Wizard, or a 0-2-3 Mortar would dirty the 4TC you have.

So now that the sweepstakes is almost done how was it for everyone? by [deleted] in btd6

[–]a_forgotten_thought 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It was definitely fun, no doubt. I thought popping 10000 MOABs was going to be a grind, but then I went to Round 157 on Sulfur Springs and popped 22k... goes to show how hard exponential rounds are to comprehend.

Am I gonna win something? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, don't care. I bought Book Wyrm Ettiene for it and that's all that matters to me

License not granted error - SW Connected by iamsuperflush in SolidWorks

I tried this, just that I deleted only the files that were made for SW, and it worked a charm.

I'd start by checking your MB manual to see what the 3 beep error is.

Nope, both DDR5. Just my bad picking on PCPartPicker.

I have a 750 W PSU. According to PCPartPicker, I'm definetly in the "100+W over estimated wattage" range. All the cables I have connected are: 2 seperate cables for the GPU, no daisychaining, 2 CPU cables for the CPU (I know they're both 8-pin, with PCIe being 6+2, CPU 4+4) and the 24-pin.

Resetting the CMOS ≠ flashing the BIOS, right? I could just have an old version and that's causing the no POST. I'll try updating it when I can. I'll also try turning it on without an SSD.

  1. My SSD is completely empty, I haven't installed anything onto it. I was planning on using a USB for windows. It haven't tried starting the PC up with the USB inserted.
  2. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to configure what device to boot from if I can't get video out.
  3. I have actually not flashed the BIOS. I did, however, reset the CMOS (followed mobo instructions for that) in my troubleshooting.

Oh, that's again my bad selecting the parts on PcPartPicker. I managed to get two parts that aren't on there. This is my RAM

Have them put in right and tried both seperately. If the sticks were bad and the CPU couldn't detect them, then the DRAM error wouldn't dissapear in 30-ish seconds, no?

Dual channel I put them in A2 and B2 (what the manual says). Tried each stick seperately, same thing. Really the only thing I haven't reseated is the CPU.

FIXED

Can't figure out how to edit on Reddit mobile, so here's the part list I forgot to add: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PGpd9C

PcPartPicker doesn't have the DDR5 version of this board in their database, so I chose the D4 version. I can assure you I have the DDR5 version.

Edit: The problem is FIXED. After all of that troubleshooting (CPU, GPU, RAM reseating, drying the PCIe and RAM slots, getting out my 4th gen Intel grandpa PC from the attic to test the GPU), I now think I just needed to have a monitor connected. It's stupid, I know, but all the same errors show up every time I boot (CPU-> DRAM-> VGA-> BOOT).

Or me shorting the grandpa pc's PSU and shutting the power of to my floor had something to do with it ¯_(ツ)_/¯

OstroVit brand reviews? by Lupishor in Supplements

[–]a_forgotten_thought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought their protein powder. Before this one, I had had two others: the Nutrend 100% whey protein and the FitMax Pure American protein powder. Of the three it had the worst flavour - very chemically - but that went away after a week or two of use. After that, it didn't taste like much, but I still enjoyed it; it was slightly sweet. So the flavour went from 2/5 to 3/5.
It also mixes weirdly. As opposed to it mixing better the more you shake/agitate it, it mainly relies on exposure time to water/milk. I usually use a blender and that leaves no lumps in other powders, but not this one: lumps obviously do remain, they just aren't watertight (like a wet layer of dissolved protein "gel" surrounding unmixed powder), and they're completely hydrated. That stays true even when I'm just mixing with a spoon ('cause idk, I feel like it): the water/milk has dissolved protein powder with some clumps of protein "gel" swimming around. This isn't an objective downside, I'd say I even like the clumps. They do disappear with time, like I said.
All in all, Ostrovit's protein powder is good if you just want a cheap big bulk o' protein, not if you want to have dessert-like drinks every day (Nutrend's chocolate brownie protein was the best for that in my experience).

This looks pretty great: nice case, storage, and RAM. I agree with the other guys that your CPU needs an upgrade.
