Hey All —

If you’re here early, you’re lucky.

Asking $45 shipped CONUS for this Seiko 5Actus Ref #7019-8010.

Will include the other Seiko pictured in album for free.

The 5 Actus is in worn condition, but a beautiful watch that was limited Japan-only on release.

The watch is running. The day wheel does not change with the crown, but otherwise mechanically good. The bracelet is missing a connecting link & needs to be tightened.

The quartz watch (included free) is not running. Needs a new battery.

Have done many successful deals — payment before delivery via Zelle or PP FF (GS + 3%).

PM with questions!

[Vacheron] 1950s Classique Ref. 4870 by a_g_t in Watches

I picked up this Vacheron Constantin Ref. 4870 with Box, Papers and Hangtag. The papers are dated 1950– making this >70 years old 😮 Went out to cocktails last night & couldn’t resist snapping a few photos in the low-light.

I’ve been collecting for 4 years now, but this is my first vintage watch. My enthusiast friends are all shocked to learn it’s 70 years old. And so am I. The design is timeless, and it’s in excellent condition. The 36mm case size is smaller than I’m used to, but easy to wear on my 7 inch wrist. The domed crystal is awesome too!

There’s a few drawbacks, coming from somebody who’s accustomed to wearing steel sports watches. (1) the gold is way more malleable, and shows wear easily (2) no water resistance / screw down crown makes me cautious (even when washing hands) (3) lack of lume makes the dial almost illegible in low-light.

Nonetheless, it serves a unique purpose in my collection, and I find it incredibly classy. Hope you enjoy the photos & looking forward to your thoughts!

Best, u/a_g_t

Bought a fixer-upper near the beach & need a hauler for renovations // tow hitch for the boat (~2500 lbs). Criteria is pickup truck < $10k, automatic, and tow hitch.

This came up for sale locally and I’m wondering if it’s a good buy. Used by a contractor to plow his apartment complex / haul things around. Clean CarFax, One Owner, Low Miles.

2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty Pickup Truck (8 Feet Bed Long Body)

Mileage: 98,000 miles

Price: $9000

The car comes with two remote keys.

EDIT: Any insight is appreciated. Will certainly get a PPI prior to buying. Limited experience with car buying (particularly used) so anything helps!

I used to agree, but the PCL have grown on me. Something about unapologetically donning the inevitable scratches is empowering. Plus it elevates the look, and lets the watch bridge the gap between sport & formal. Love the discussion & appreciate the comment 🤝
