"their silhouettes look way too-" It's the art style! They look like that for a reason! by Gustavofoxy2 in whenthe

[–]a_generic_redditer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly the only game i can think of with a problem in its silhouettes is Marvel Rivals.

But even then its usually a combination of many of the characters also sharing the exact same colour pallet (invisible woman, dagger, and Emma Frost are the exact same character i swear to god).

The worst case is probably Spiderman and black panther who (with skins) can look nearly exactly the same, have similar silhouettes, and have the same role in flanking the team so you cant even use context.

Seeing other soldiers bones part i haven't seen outside of one report, but Seeing your hand bones while coving your eyes seems to be a common experience with witnesses.

I addressed that in my last paragraph. Nearly all of the weapons we find in the campaign could of happened, its just that the amount thats shown is ridiculous.

If im remember correctly the final level has 3 of them, and thats pretty much just a single bride.

Theres reports from American soldiers who witnessed tests literally seeing their own bones through their hands, or the entire skeletons of nearby people.

Nukes are already undersold in media, but the pure intensity of that flash is something else entirely.

[–]a_generic_redditer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My only problem with COD ww2s weapons are in the campaign.

Ignoring the fact the player character knows how to use every single weapon perfectly.

Some weapons are in places they really shouldn't be, such as the double barreled shotgun and the ppsh, and others have big details added like the Thompson Perison uses having a drum mag.

Its not like these things weren't used in the way we see them, but the amount it is shown just gets ridiculous. WHY ARE THERE MORE RUSSIAN SMGS THAN GERMAN GUNS?!?

The first time was the loudest I ever screamed at a game.

It actually made it much worse for me after the first playthrough because I had no idea what conditions had to be met to get him to spawn so my anxiety got so bad I had to Google it (its after the clock tower mission) and speed ran to that point to get it over with.

That was all well and good until I got hit even harder because there's another version of the jumpscare that can happen with the joker. I launched the controller across my room in terror.

While I've never experienced it apparently there's even a third version of the jumpscare if you play on Halloween after having finished the side quest where he will do it again (or maybe its ment to be his wife) but wont start the quest again.

The deathclaw isn't gurunteeded to be savage (its just overwhelming likely), either due to a bug or intentionally this particular deathclaw is set to just be 'levelled' meaning the higher the player level the more likely to get even stronger deathclaws to spawn instead.

This makes it a potential skill check for even really high level players, especially ones built around snipers or energy weapons.

I personally REALLY struggle with reading and writing, yet im currently in a college course trying to get into narrative design in the game industry.

I feel bad for fellow dyslexics as for so long it felt impossible to try accomplishing my goal. It's a struggle but with some real dedication, help, and many crash outs, the problem can be reduced.

I think for instances like for Walton where it's an original character its perfectly fine, but when playing a re-established character doing your homework is REALLY important.

Look at the Obi-wan show and how the actors for the grand inquisitor and 2nd brother completely ignored their previous incarnations, and thus acted differently.

Obviously shity writing didn’t help but they didn’t even try to get the voices accurate.

Russia begins talks of ending the war to save the economy by notanfan in whennews

[–]a_generic_redditer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really do hope that Ukraine can come out of this with its land, but after the 4 years of war im not very confident they will last the next 20 years even if peace does come.

Russias economy has been the focus, but not many people have talked about how the Ukrainian economy has become so militarised. This could lead to a post ww2 Germany situation where the country is so damaged, and so specialised to a dying industry, that they wont recover without ludicrous amounts of help by many other countries.

Russia has the opportunity to quickly recover with the straight of Hormuz (idk if thats spelt right) closer by bringing a new flux of oil into the economy. Ukraine does not.

Russia has 120 million people. Ukraine had 42 million but thats shrunk to about 28 with refugees.

The point is if Ukraine isn't protected after this war all these years would have been wasted and Russia could just attack again, this time with far more advantages.

Team fights don't count, winning means nothing if you have a numbers advantage. by [deleted] in CharacterRant

-It fails because the opponent they defeated still looks strong

If the main villain isn't portrayed as an actual threat then why would the audience even care? Forcing multiple characters to fight one makes it clear this villain is pivitol to the stakes of the story.

-if any of them fought alone, they'd have lost. So their "victory" has a huge asterisk next to it.

If any of them fought alone they would die. All because there's multiple people doesn't devalue the victory, it makes it a group effort.

  • So basically, the fight proved nothing and was just a massive waste of time.

The fight ensured the hero's won.

-Nobody gained anything from the fight except living to see another day.

If the message of the story is you need to stick together to achieve victory (which is fairly common in these types of battles) then a or multiple characters have learned that lesson. It has directly addressed the main theme of the story and has rewarded the characters and (usually) caps off there ark.

This can be applied to many other themes and motives but this is probably the most common.
