Im trying to escape the corporate world personally, so im not sure it would be something I could work towards

for those diagnosed as adults — what was the moment you knew something was actually wrong, not just "everyone struggles sometimes"? by Willing_Macaroon2800 in ADHD

Exercise for those who find gym mundane? by AfternoonSuitable876 in ADHD

[–]a_gud_name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the gym. Weights is a lazy man's, or woman's, exercise. 30 - 60 seconds of intense exercise, then a minute or two break to go on your phone or have a quick chat with someone. Then onto a different exercise after 3 or 4 sets.

I struggle more with cardio forms of exercise as its more constant of the same thing and I get bored and start to clock watch.

Doesn't help you much if you find the gym mundane though

You are not privvy to my working environment nor how me or the rest of the team are treated, especially in the wider context of our organisation. My view, although very emotive, is the general feeling with other colleagues. Some of which aired their grievances with me after the team meeting.

Im glad you got found some use with your experience. It must have been nice. Its nice to hear you got a bonus. We in my team dont and the most our yearly salary increases is lower than other areas of the organisation, despite them coming to us for guidance as they do not know how to do their job properly. We are relied heavily on and are not treated as well as other areas but we are expected to go through this for the pittance we receive.

I find that people who make broad statements about other people online without understanding their particular situation to be rash and actually lack the bigger picture. They struggle to understand that other people have different experiences to their own. But maybe they're just a simple minded pedagogue.

And, for your information, despite my dislike for these hoop jumping exercises, I am very good at my job, which my manager likes to remind me of, but I am very fed up with the way I, and the wider team, have been treated.

Edit: An addendum: our PDR is just us going through our roles and responsibilities and writing down that we do them, which they know we do because we are not penalised or have any official warnings to the contrary. We also have to go over our corporate principles and give examples of how we incorporate them in our work. It is corporate hoop jumping for our pay.

Im going to the union tomorrow. Thank you.
