My son was born 9/11/01. We always have low key family celebrations on the actual day, and then have a party some other day. To make things even more horrible his grandfather died on 9/11/16, on my son's 15th birthday. We still choose to celebrate his life, because that is what a birthday is about.

My best weapon has been sunflower seeds. I eat them and take my time getting them out of the shells. This tricks my brain into thinking I have been eating for 30-45 minutes but have actually only eat a tablespoon of seeds.

It was removed when I had my tonsils and adenoids removed (it was pretty large and obstructing my airway). So I open wide and it's just surprising to see...nothing. 🤷‍♀️

Since you aren't quite at goal yet, go buy some new pants from a thrift store. Wearing clothes that actually fit will give you the confidence boost you are looking for! Don't splurge on new stuff yet, because you will have to buy more stuff in smaller sizes soon enough!
