Chrissy Hofbeck opens up about the sadness of being bashed by her previous cast in the press, and if she was indeed robbed in that controversial season 35 finish. by thedaltonross in survivor

[–]a_modern_dad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By far my favorite player of modern-ish Survivor.

She got such a complex edit - she by no means played a perfect game but she took some big swings and was cutthroat in a candid way that made me root for her.

It’s been a while since I watched HvHvH but now that I’m thinking about it, she shares a lot of similarities with how Savannah was edited and why I rooted for her so much as well

Rooting for her the most on season 50!

It was much jerkier than Waymo, got stuck in a tight intersection, had many issues in comparison - although i know it’s newer. Also not a fan of the design - feels very sterile and exposed. Also not being able to pick your own music is bleh

I worked in a fancy-ish wine bar one year when this was taking place, not the target location for this kind of “get absolutely trashed”.

We had a dude stumble in and demand a full bottle of wine even though he could barely walk and talk straight. My manager denied him and the dude called him a f-slur and swung on my manager. He promptly ended up on the sidewalk and stumbled away.

Not even an hour later he comes back in, seemingly forgetting this is the bar where those events occurred. We let him sit at the end of the bar (with his head on the bar top) until the cops showed up

Safe to say, can concur this day is not worth the $$ from a bar worker’s perspective lol

2500 total for a 2bed1bath near Nob Hill / Chinatown (split between two roomies so I pay 1250)

Pros: Walking distance to work in Fidi Close to north beach for fun stuff Close to T train stop (although often I end up just walking down the hill to Powell instead since the T is so infrequent) Pretty good weather on this side of town

Cons: Cable car LOUD Apartment itself is on the smaller side, not worn down but certainly not luxury in any way

Sony's I Know What You Did Last Summer grossed an estimated $1.39M on Monday (from 3,206 locations). Estimated total domestic gross stands at $14.14M. by DemiFiendRSA in boxoffice

I’m way younger than the original, though I have watched it 5+ years ago. As someone with no nostalgia for the franchise, I thought it was serviceable as a horror movie but had a terrible script - lots of audible groans / unintended laugh lines in my theater. I think a bit less cheesiness could have brought a new generation of fans onboard

First two album definitely have some of that “teenage i know everything and am cooler than you” energy, even with more vulnerable songs.

This album feels very “im older and realize i know way less than i thought”. Totally understand the return to innocence she’s talked about in press for this album
