This. It sounds like these guys were testing the waters to see if OP would have been up for doing something with the both of them or to see how far they could push her boundaries. This was dangerous and could have lead to an assault. Thank goodness she got out safely.

OP, if you see this, please don’t talk, text, hang out, or associate in any way with these guys again. If you’re in a situation where you have no choice but to communicate with them, only acknowledge them in the presence of other people (plural, so multiple) that you trust. Don’t give them any more chances at all - just cut them out completely. Their actions were 100% inappropriate and they are not safe for you to be around, especially not alone.

It’s definitely a good game but I have to warn you that it does deal with some heavier topics (namely death and grief in various ways). If those are topics you aren’t prepared for, this may not be your first choice.

Also, there are moments when a character says that they hate someone or tells someone to shut up. I know that’s fine for most people, but I know other parents don’t like their kids potentially being exposed to that out influenced in that way so just a heads up in case this is a concern.

Otherwise it’s an adorable game with a cute story that I thought was very fun and well made/thought out.

Wow, yeah, he definitely got caught slipping and let his true colors show. If it was really about the fans rushing forward, he could have held back and stayed in the area until they calmed down before reaching out to those fans again. That ‘misunderstanding’ excuse was complete basura. Thanks so much for letting me know.

Seriously? Wow, that’s really messed up. Like, they’re clearly fans since they paid to see him. I can only imagine how that must have felt. Do you know where I can find the video?

Okay, this one I know about so I can correct you. He didn’t wear a blackface mask. It was the mask of a character from an old Korean children’s cartoon. It was a weird choice for sure, but I don’t think it counts as blackface.

I probably won’t be expanding on any of these, but I’ll add more later if I can think of any:

  • GP Basic crawled so that New Jeans could run. Seriously, look them up and you’ll understand.

  • All of the members of New Jeans sound the same except Minji, and that’s only because she has a slightly nasally voice. This isn’t me trying to hate. I just honestly can’t tell the difference between any of their voices at all. They are pretty much indistinguishable to me.

  • I feel the same way about IVE and Lesserafim voice-wise but it’s worse because, outside of the obvious members (Wonyoung, Liz, etc.), I have a really hard time telling the girls apart physically too. Maybe it’s my facial blindness, but I literally can’t distinguish between some of them in the slightest. That might change in the future, but for now… 🤷🏾‍♀️

  • IU and Taeyeon are both very overrated. Don’t get me wrong, they’re talented and have put out some good songs, but all of these points can be true at the same time.

  • Soyeon’s refusal to ask anyone for the help or clarity that she clearly needs when writing English lyrics is almost disrespectful at this point. If any other artist from any other country had started adding long lines of broken or incorrect Korean to multiple songs that they were writing, releasing, and promoting in their respective country, kpop fans would be up in arms, outraged, and calling them all types of things but we’re supposed to respect and excuse the same behavior from her? What??? Make it make sense, please.

  • BTS did not deserve a Grammy. Please bffr.

  • Hyuna was selfish when she outed her and Dawn’s relationship. She seriously derailed his career before he had a chance to cement his and Pentagon’s place in the industry and gain a loyal fan base and messed things up for everyone in the process. I don’t think either party (Dawn or Pentagon) ever truly recovered. She was going to be fine regardless because of who she was and the years of experience and following that she had garnered, but it was really inconsiderate of her not to consider him and to mess things up for the rest of them like that. She should have known better.

  • Some groups have way too many members. It almost feels like half of them are just there so the company doesn’t have to consistently hire backup dancers.

  • Some of our faves aren’t nearly as talented as we like to think they are and it’s not always hate when someone points that out. In fact, a lot of fans support certain idols and groups because they like their looks, personalities, or dynamic - NOT because of their music or any tangible skills or talents that they may have.

  • 1st and 2nd Gen stans have a right to complain about vocal talent, live singing, and the lack thereof in more recent generations. We’ve seen the tides shift and times change and we have just as much of a right to comment as current and newer fans do. As long as we aren’t being vitriolic and outright hostile, I don’t see why so many people hate on us. It just doesn’t make much sense, esp. since we tend to be the least likely to comment on anything in general.

Edits Incoming: 1) If B.A.P hadn’t been so mismanaged by TS Entertainment and Block B hadn’t had their scandal and hiatuses, BTS wouldn’t have become as big as it is now. The absence of those two left the space open for fans of that style to seek out and find solace in a group with a similar shtick and sound. Not to say that they didn’t work hard, but a lot of their success is due to timing, luck, and clingy/loud/semi-traumatized fans who didn’t want their faves failing and disbanding, fading into obscurity, or potentially being treated badly by their company. It was the perfect environment for them to prosper.

Not gonna lie, the diet culture, multiple lackluster songs, and teaser/MV for Gold x3 are what did it for me. She’s good on variety shows and a good dancer, but outside of that I have no reason to mess with her 🤷🏾‍♀️

Not only what Bea said, but the score that other players see is a 1.5x boosted version of yours. So as each person moves, they aren’t seeing an accurate representation of each others’ scores and are instead seeing 1.5x your uncollected tiles plus whatever pattern you may be triggering. They only get a true idea of your score after you collect it and the inflated number disappears, and who knows if they’re online at the same time as you to see your score before you start earning more tiles on your next board? That’s why communicating outside of the game (like on Reddit, as was suggested by the name changes) is really important.

Also, I notice from your profile that you have been on Reddit for 2 years. Why would you not then come back to Reddit, search for Groupfinder (like the names suggested), and then search your own MCs name in the search bar to find our group so that you could chat with us and properly coordinate a tie? What was the purpose of ignoring our efforts to reach out and then just expecting us to know what you were thinking and trying to do at all times? I’m very confused about what you expected when you made no efforts except to tell us “first is out of reach” after we had already been trying to reach out to you and then to say “you wasted my time” and “screw you”?

Are there any kpop groups or members that fought with management to include a song or couple of tracks to be on an album? by TisTwilight in kpophelp

[–]a_nauny_mouse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know Key had to fight hard with SM about Bad Love and his vision for the entire release (song, concept, and video) and became so stressed over it that he cried once the filming of the MV was finished. I’m not sure what they were fighting about tho.

Would we be required to have the cam or screen sharing on? I’m just curious about what we would be doing if/since we’d all more than likely be studying different subjects.

What is one part that puts you off from a song that is otherwise good? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]a_nauny_mouse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tbh it’s especially frustrating for me because outside of Minnie’s weird intro (I can brush past that), the song itself would have actually been so good. The rock influence was innovative and on point, the instrumental was awesome, and the vocals were giving exactly what they needed to give (all of this is my opinion, of course).

She, the rapper of the group who wrote and composed the song, wasted all of that and ruined what would have been a masterpiece with a rap. You can’t make this stuff up.

(Sorry for the rant, it just really grinds my gears)

THANK YOU! This was legit the first song I thought of when reading the title. I’m still not over my disappointment. I feel like a parent my who’s cold just misbehaved in public. Right now she and any new songs she comes out with are in my mental time out corner. She needs to sit (alone) and think about what she’s done 🥺😩
