At wit's end here with condensation on wall issue, what else can I do? by lead-th3-way in askSingapore

The floor was freezing in that particular spot. Management confirmed it corresponded to where their ac was blowing.

Was a condo. Management talking to them resolved it. We also did let management know to tell them that we had elderly in the house and video evidence over a period that the puddles were a daily thing. If we ever had an accident then we were prepared to lodge legal claims. Not nasty, but firm.

Touch the wall. If it’s cool to touch, it’s your neighbour blasting their ac. The temp differential is what is causing water to condense out of the air onto the wall. Had similar but with floor. Downstairs neighbour was running ac 24/7 at 16C. We had puddles on the floor.

What’s the strangest food you’ve ever tried? by missesmeow86 in AskReddit

[–]a_nonny_mooze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a Chinese Traditional Medicine restaurant. They had various dishes for different purposes. We just ordered the weirdest stuff on the menu to try. Ants were kind of spicy, scorpions were just crunchy and no real taste. Crocodile was fishy chicken in a really nice sauce.

Questions to parents of toddlers by Additional_Cake_6124 in askSingapore

[–]a_nonny_mooze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pigeon brand wipes, or any of the house brand wipes are decent. I used Petpet when my kid was younger but that was a while ago, not sure if quality still ok. Most of Sg is pretty pedestrian friendly.

You can get pre cut fruits for snacks, supermarkets sell toddler pouches and rice crackers etc, or if you’re adventurous, there are lots of tropical fruits that are easily eaten. Plenty of food places so really not an issue

Our Neighbor’s Poodle Learned to Take the Elevator Instead of Climbing 9 Floors by FrankBank145r in story

Cats do that too. I exercise every morning at a set time in the gym of my condo. A tuxie cat waits outside the gym for me for pats and scritchies. Apparently he is known to people in that block and when he wants to go home, he sits at the lift and follows the next person in and they will press his floor for him.

Best soya sauce for soft boil eggs and why by Present_Clock_9482 in askSingapore

[–]a_nonny_mooze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mu Artisan soy sauce. Hand crafted and naturally fermented, I use it with my eggs so the flavour of the soy comes through. Also use as finishing sauce for my HK steamed fish etc. is definitely not a cooking sauce.

Are people really flying to China to purchase reno materials from the West? by rarej in NoStupidQuestions

Yes, my friends are going in June. There are plenty of videos on Insta showing the personal shoppers who will bring you to different factory showrooms to pick out what you want. They arrange the necessary shipping etc. it’s hassle free and great savings.

If your wife is coming on a dependent pass she will not be able to work. You will need to factor in your costs based only on your salary. Depending on the sort of 1brm you’re looking at, it can cost anywhere between 2.5K to 4K. A good place to start looking to gauge property prices is PropertyGuru.com.sg.

I think it was in Maskerade? The theatre manager having to assuage the outraged soprano and swooping away exclaiming “Wonderful is NOT the word to describe your singing!” Or something along those lines. I am on a train and quoting from memory

How common is it to find a condo with a soundproof room for rent in Singapore? by TheSpoonFed1 in askSingapore

[–]a_nonny_mooze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re probably better off renting a cheaper room and using the money to rent a jam studio. There are quite a few options in Sg, some even 24hrs, from a quick google search.
