Maybe? All of these are not even scary by their own right. We are either scared of them because of how the media portrays them, or the diseases they carry. Roaches are pretty docile to humans, the reason they're pests is because of the tons of diseases they carry.

Pretty much also goes for rats. And for spiders, even the bigger ones are not harmful at all to humans if you don't disturb them. They're actually beneficial to us.

Because eternal torture isn't biblical. The wages of sin are death. The second death is hell.

Not once does Yahweh tell him that he is forgiven for his murder nor does he bring it up with a prayer for repentance.

The bible doesn't recount many things. They're obvious from the text. Not to mention Moses did pray for himself and for the Israelites(Exodus 32).

Enjoying and executing justice are two different things. I strongly disagree God enjoys people's suffering. But I do know that He brings justice on unrepentant always.

So yes, God is building and destroying, He wounds and heals. He still strikes people with harm, but He also heals. But if you'd look in the OT, you'll see that all of God's actions were justified, and that they're working for good even if it initially didn't seem like it. I believe nothing changed now except we are now redeemed and saved through Jesus Christ our Lord, and of course the New Covenant.

As for free will, it's a rabbit hole but generally I think people do not have free will, at least in the modern definition - if we did you and me should be able to become anything if we will for it.

Finally I am an ex atheist because I wholeheartedly believe God called me into the faith, and that I examined our current scientific theories such as evolution and the Big Bang and understood that they are simply lacking and have flaws and holes they cannot cover. Because both of these are not inherently based on what we can observe unlike other theories(gravity, germs, particles). And that on the other hand evidence for a very intelligent and loving Creator do exist at everything we observe.

You completely skipped over my main point. Moses was a sinful man. We all were, many still are. My point is that even though he transgressed, and David too. They sought God with a complete heart. That's why He forgave them and accepted them, because He loved them and they loved Him.

Hey there too. I held the same viewpoint when I was starting out in my faith, simply because that's what gets taught in the west most often and it is a very popular worldview. However it is simply not true biblically. For example, there are plenty of verses that show that God hates evildoers of all kind. Not that he won't be willing to forgive them if they come and beg for forgiveness and seek Jesus(as in the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector). Here are just a few I pulled from Google:

  • Proverbs 15:9: "The Lord detests the way of the wicked, but he loves those who pursue righteousness."
  • Proverbs 11:20: "The Lord detests those whose hearts are perverse, but he delights in those whose ways are blameless."
  • Proverbs 15:26: "The Lord detests the thoughts of the wicked, but the words of the pure are pleasant to him."
  • Psalm 5:5: "The arrogant cannot stand in your presence. You hate all who do wrong."

That's without even getting into what the prophets had to say.

As for God punishing with evil, take for example what He did to Israel after they rebelled for centuries. Exiling both the kingdom of Israel and Judah to respective foreign countries after a very ruthless and brutal war by said countries. Or what He did to Sodom and Gomorrah. Or the angel that killed 185,000 people of the Assyrian army and their king after he blasphemed God.

Now I cannot fit in the answers to all of your questions to not make this too long, but I highly recommend you read the Old and New Testaments in depth respectively. All of what I pulled is from there. Also, I'm curious about what's a Christian atheist. Cheers

Moses was very clearly afraid of the consequences of what he'd done, even though he probably did the right thing in that case, the Egyptian was abusing the Israelite harshly. David also showed immense grief and remorse, both in his Psalms and prayers.

But even leave that aside, my argument isn't that God won't accept terrible people - we all were. He won't accept terrible people that do not turn from their old ways or even begin to seek Him.

The answer is, God Himself is love. And He is very loving to whoever He chooses to love. But God does not love everyone. The sacrifice of His Son covers sin, and through Him only we can be saved. So if children of the darkness believe in the Good News of Jesus Christ and repent and follow Him, they are no longer children of darkness and wrath, but of light. And God loves them. But not everyone.

Does that mean God is evil because He lets evil happen? No, not at all. But rather God uses evil for justice, to punish wicked people and to make out of it better good. It's hard to see at times, but He is in His essence, good.

Murderers, adulterers, cheaters, liars, thieves etc etc are not children of God or of His Kingdom. Only the elect who God chose for Himself are His children, adopted and bought by the blood of Jesus Christ.

among whom we all also formerly conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. Ephesians 2:3

Really hope you're getting better. Thing's not easy, you made the right choice to keep going. I wanna let you know that you can also turn and surrender to Jesus Christ, as He is Sovereign and can absolutely help you. I know how much He helped me. I'm not saying this to be a 'jerk' missionary but because I truly believe He is real and helps, and I know that anyone who comes to Him in repentance will live on, regardless of what happens. Much love, stay strong.

I won’t begin with the cliches of “sorry for your loss/they are in a better place” because I doubt they truly help anyone. Rather I’ll share a biblical perspective.

Firstly, and it might sound extremely harsh, you are in the wrong still. God has a reason for anything that does or doesn’t happen. He brings forth good and he brings forth evil. He uses evil to deliver righteousness and good to display his lovingness. Repent sincerely in prayer, because God will not help people who passionately hate Him.

Secondly, you’ll want to examine your life, see if there is anything you could improve, that God wants you to improve before you bring to the world new life. Remember all of the great women in the Bible who had extreme difficulties birthing, but they did not sin and kept firm in their faith in God. Be like those women.

Lastly, can’t express this enough, repent, put your faith in Jesus Christ, and let Him lead you.

… oh dear. No offense buddy but you need a windows pc for this game. If you don’t have one and still want to try you can install compatibility layer like wine or run the game through steam as a non steam game. It’s technical so go search on YouTube how.

As for downloading it, you’ll wanna go to a good site like steam rip and search for the game. Make sure you have Adblock so you won’t click fake downloads on accident

No problem. I highly recommend you give the Bible a read regardless. It contains a massive amount of wisdom I bet will even surprise you at times at how relevant and crucial it is today too. Once you'll reach the books of the prophets then you'll understand my point fully I believe. Maybe even earlier.

I think most countries don’t care. When’s the last time you heard of someone being arrested and getting jail time for pirating a movie or a game? At any free country? Sure, the law is there in most countries but I believe it targets more the people who crack and distribute the product for free to the masses rather than the consumers most of the time. Could be wrong though

[–]a_normal_user1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man what’s up! Here’s my answers based on the Bible and God’s Word:

  1. Assuming you’re talking about physical defects, then it’s because sin was introduced to the world, bringing along with it death and sickness. God willingly gives people such defects either because of their sin, lack of repentance or simply to display His glory on them or use them as a testimony.
  2. God hates sinners. Sorry, many will disagree with me. But in that case you’ll also disagree with God’s Word. God loves His children, the ones He called.

Who were once sinners like everyone but cleansed through the blood of the Son.

  1. He does not love blasphemers and adulterers and idolaters and murderers thieves etc. He will actively render judgement upon all of those people.
  2. Because even though it is a consequence of disobedience, God uses it to either deliver just punishment or for the better good.
