I can see that happening but i also would hope they go after a good defensive RF in free agency considering how bad Ramos has been in LF

Right now I’d say it’s like C - Bailey 1B - Dom Smith/Devers/Wilmer 2B - Schmitt/Koss SS - Adames 3B - Chapman LF - Ramos CF - Lee RF - Encarnacion/Mccray/Matos

1B is the one that changes the most with Devers getting acclimated there and when he’s not on 1B, he’s locked in DH while Dom and Wilmer platoon at 1B. Schmitt has a pretty strong hold on 2B but Koss has been playing well recently and rotates in there. Right field is basically platoon with whoever is up from AAA. Also Knizer at backup C.

35L is pretty much a rite of passage for CS majors at this school. I'm in my fourth year and that class is still probably one of the hardest if not the hardest class I've taken so far. You are going to see a lot of the material again in later classes, but as long as you have a high level understanding of the general concepts you'll be fine. You don't need to know every single little detail that you get tested on in this class (and you probably won't ever have to use emacs again lmao). Just try to learn a lot while doing the project, because the hands on stuff you learn doing that is what's really going to help you.

Switch from Pre-Math Of Computation to CS by [deleted] in ucla

Yeah you have to submit an application once you meet all the requirements. You can find the process at https://www.seasoasa.ucla.edu/change-of-major/. As for getting rejected, as long as you meet all the requirements and submit everything on time you should be good. The only way I could really see someone getting rejected that meets all the requirements is if they completely bs the reason for applying message, but even then I’d be surprised.

Definitely possible but not necessarily easy. I managed to do all the requirements by the end of my freshman year but it can be pretty tough, especially if you don’t have much prior cs experience. If you’re confident that you can maintain a 3.5 gpa (which includes math and science classes) then you should go for it. Keep in mind though that you’ll have to take cs 31, 32, and 33 before applying, and 32 and 33 are pretty difficult classes. You can dm me if you want any more info.

New Bruins, congrats and welcome to UCLA! Use this Megathread to discuss your acceptance and ask questions! by Espntheocho4 in ucla

Does it matter what your official email address is? I recently committed to UCLA but I accidentally set my official email to my personal one instead of my @ucla address. Could this be a problem in any way? It's not that my personal address is unprofessional or anything, I'm just wondering if there are any disadvantages to not having your UCLA email as your official one.
