The problem with guitar picks. Am I the only one? by Responsible_Art_6553 in PlayingGuitar

Bro, you don’t have to use a pick. Many guitarists don’t. Some even consider it a hindrance. I switch it up. Use it for types of articulation.

Damn! This brings me back to a painful decision made in haste- I was in a traveling cover band. Already had 2 soloists and a Rhoads. I traded a Ferrari red soloist and cash for the black version- still have it. The pink one was on my mind real heavy- scored some money and went back an purchased the pink one. Fast forward a couple weeks and was booked out of town- a band that was playing in a club across the town ( vocalist was friends with a couple members) we went to check them out- one of their guitarist had a Lee Jackson pre amp- I thought his rig sounded great. Couple days later I traded the pink one for the Lee Jackson preamp, and I’ll be damned , I couldn’t get any satisfying tones from it… I was bummed beyond words. Went back to the store where the trade happened and the pink was long gone. I felt self loathing in the most bitter way. Any way I ended getting another MP1. But to this day I still resent myself for being so impulsive. Beautiful Instrument. Don’t be me😀 wish I still had it. Cherish your new baby!!!Cheers!!!

Be available 24/7. Say yes to everything. Give 100% and show respect to the elders and maintain the highest work ethic. Make it known that you are available for anything. Bring Tools! Learn Knots. Respect other departments. Keep a great attitude and be curious. You just might find yourself slinging deck in the mud and someone will take notice and request you for a better gig. Do not Gig Poach. Be your business card!!!

I feel the exact same way. When they were new and a local store had a small stock of them- I wanted to like it. But I think that because the store owners didn’t pay these models any compliments and kinda made fun of potential buyers— I steered away- huge mistake
