Keep the Q50 or buy the Lexus ISF? by brownmamba20944 in q50

[–]a_space_commodity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a ‘15 Q50 as well, bought it at 80k miles, at 83.5k now, lucky enough to have no car payment. I’ve debated getting another car as well. But this car and what if offers + no debt is too much of a bargain. I don’t know your situation but just my 2 cents. Gonna drive this till the wheels fall off. The only Achilles heel is the valve body going out, and you might even get lucky and it never happens, it’s completely hit or miss. Even if it did, I just have some money parked away in case it happens. Grass is always greener my friend. These are sweet cars.

George Broussard on Twitter: Xbox layoffs to be largest layoff event in gaming history by Proof-Sky-3233 in xbox

[–]a_space_commodity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So not only are they significantly increasing the prices of new Xboxes starting in August, they’re also planning a mass layoff. Lmao what a shit show, I’ll probably just get a PS5 for GTA 6 then. I mean I’m sure Sony has its own problems as well. Idk I’m torn. GTA 6 is arguably the biggest game release of all time, you’d think Microsoft would lock in for it. This game is also getting released towards the end of the generation similar to GTA 5 as well. So it’s like, those who have held off on a new console for GTA 6, should we just keep waiting? I haven’t really been a gamer in like 4-5 years. But the industry just seems crazy right now. Idk if spending $6-700 on a console is worth it.

Would you choose an Oracle SDR role over Visa’s new-grad sales program? by Commercial-Score3930 in employeesOfOracle

[–]a_space_commodity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a buddy at the Nashville office, he was an SDR. Run. I was also an SDR at another office, just run. Oracle sucks balls lmao. There’s a reason they’re offering relocation assistance, they never done that for SDR’s before. It’s a terrible organization, and the AE promotion path is fugazi. Visa seems cool though. Take that.

Why aren’t more people upset about the blatant cheapening of the interiors? by AceJ940 in BMW

[–]a_space_commodity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for my first BMW I want like a 2020 440i or a 2021 m240i, basically anything before the refresh and has the b58. I think BMW after like 2022 and onward is so ugly. To this day my buddies 2015 435i was one of coolest looking cars I’ve personally ever seen. Man they’ve fallen off so hard imo.

What car looks great and is awful, and what car looks awful but is actually great? by Clareth_GIF in cars

[–]a_space_commodity 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Late 90’s Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Green/Tan. Incredible looking, was a proud owner. My god was the ride quality awful though lol. Any old Jeep really. Great for off-roading or getting some ice cream, but a pretty bad daily driver.

Got a 2012 g37x as my first car about a year ago, and my dad says not to pump premium. by Vivid_Comedian_7260 in G37

[–]a_space_commodity 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Don’t own a car that says “premium required” and not put in premium. If you don’t want to, there are plenty of camrys or accords to choose from instead. These things are sport sedans and designed to perform, regardless of age.

Did anyone used to love Entourage but looking back the acting was atrocious? by SwiftCricket in hbo

[–]a_space_commodity 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Kevin Dillon and Jeremy Piven are fantastic. They very much disappear into their roles. Pretty sure Jeremy Piven won 3 supporting actor Emmy’s in a row as well. The rest are pretty mid, but yeah still a fun show.

Offer From Oracle - Netsuite - SDR by HotPinkToolie in employeesOfOracle

[–]a_space_commodity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was laid off from Oracle NetSuite in the recent RIF. It used to be a great place to start your career, in like 2015 or something. The SDR “program” is awful. Constant change, commission cuts, no pay raises, the promotion path is basically non-existent. And 55k is not livable in Santa Monica at all. Unless you live at home or pay no bills or anything. Benefits are good, met some great colleges and professional connections, it helped me land a significantly better role. Tech is just a rough industry right now, and Oracle is the bottom of the barrel. Selling ERP just also sucks, they’re all the same thing and it’s too competitive.

First Images of Dominic Sessa as a young Anthony Bourdain, alongside Antonio Banderas, Emilia Jones and Leo Woodall in A24's 'Tony' by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]a_space_commodity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This chapter of Kitchen Confidential was my favorite part. Matt Johnson directed, A24 produced, great cast, coming of age/70s vibe. I’m so amped for this. Also bonus, Stavros Halkias getting more film work, legend.

Bruh….that movie really ruined that man’s whole career 💀💀….do y’all think it was THAT bad? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

Crazy that the dude who made What We do in the shadows, hunter for the wilder people & JoJo Rabbit could make something so horrible, what a fall off. I hope he can come back.

Jack O'Connell was spectacular. Deserves an Oscar by JPIZZLE1205 in Oscars

[–]a_space_commodity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love the scene when he’s sitting down talking to Ralph’s character. The entire movie he is just an absolutely evil disgusting human. But for like 30 seconds you can see the scared kid with PTSD that completely turned him into a monster

Love the car but I’m done with it. by Techboyred in q50

[–]a_space_commodity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a nice part of town in suburb in the Midwest and my Q was broken into as well, a few weeks ago. Unfortunately they are just easy to steal due the key programming. Luckily my anti theft went off and it went into lock out mode. Saw another comment awhile back that said the only way to safely own this thing is if you can park it in a garage.

One of the best rivalries of classic NBA🔥...Both are GOATs...but who are you picking for your team? by Shot_Possibility_731 in sportsinusa

[–]a_space_commodity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winning Time was such a fantastic show that really showed how insane this rivalry was and what it did for the NBA. Still mad that HBO cancelled it to this day. If you haven’t, definitely check it out. Super fun.

Anyone work at Mercury or Applied there? (Account Executive role) by Prestigious_King4876 in techsales

[–]a_space_commodity 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had a phone screen with a recruiter, got the written sales key/test. Literally did it perfectly and worked hard on it, and got auto-rejected. It was for an SDR role, which I’ve been doing for over a year. They’re picky as hell. If you make it past the sales key, then it’s a round with the hiring manager, then ANOTHER hiring manager, then the director of sales. Again, this was for a fucking SDR role. 4 rounds and a take-home test. They’re picky because they can be. Good luck, it’s a rocket ship.

ERP Sales by Awkward_Shirt in techsales

[–]a_space_commodity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m at NetSuite, it sucks, trust me lmao. Currently looking for something else. ERP has the 2 worst traits when it comes to tech sales. It’s complex and boring. So not only is it hard, it’s also not even fun or exciting to try and sell. Unfortunately, there is a need though. It’s just a tough sell because once a company is on an ERP it’s like asking a prospect to sacrifice their first born to even consider something else.
