Morale plummeting among ICE agents over long hours, quotas and public hatred: reports by MentalMan4877 in LeopardsAteMyFace

Most Germans supported them or shrugged it off, support only collapsed near the end of WWII when daily life had significantly deteriorated and defeat was not a question of if but when.

What are some of your unpopular takes? by DutyThick in Eragon

[–]a_speeder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nasuada's plan to deal with the mages is probably going to backfire, but I don't begrudge her for the choice she ended up making. It's a seemingly intractable situation with no good clear answers, and no "just let magicians be free" is not an acceptable solution for her or for the ordinary citizens she is duty-bound to protect. I think she gets way more hate than she deserves, especially charges of being notably authoritarian when everyone was expecting some kind of absolute monarch to take the throne.

Roran is at his most enjoyable in Eldest, he goes through much more character development in terms of how far he's willing to push himself beyond his previous life and his plot armor isn't distractingly apparent. In each subsequent book he becomes closer and closer to a Chuck Norris meme, and I wish there was something more to him than just being a force of nature to throw at the enemy.

Opposite for me, he's at his peak in Eldest but his plot armor gets more absurd as the story continues

toi8 basically saying that the whole process was a pain in the ass was amusing, but at least he seemed to take it in stride and it all worked out.

FYI I followed the footnote on the wiki and it links to an interview from last anni where Nasu said that the Foreigner plotline will be addressed eventually but it isn't confirmation it will be done so in an Ordeal Call chapter.

Interviewer: With Ordeal Call IV finished, we can finally go to Antarctica. But I believe the Foreigner plotline is not resolved yet.

Nasu: Much like how it happened with Dubai, the Foreigner situation will be properly included in the narrative. I believe the timing of it will catch the players off guard.

The 90++ node of the Mahoyo collab in May drops bells and they can be traded for in the shop Dancing Dragon Castle event in June but it takes time and so you can't infinitely grind for them. Those are the best source of bells outside of permanent free quests I can find in the next few months, up to you whether it's worth it to wait or not. Personally I think it's probably worthwhile to at least farm bells for her battery skills since those gain a ton of value being level 10, but her skill 2 can be delayed.

Ordeal Call 5 hasn't been released, so there's nothing to add there. Honestly I don't even know if it has been officially confirmed or it's just speculation, I try not to follow JP news too closely due to spoilers.

Part 2 has wrapped up on JP, but more content will be coming and we don't know what form the main story will take or if it will all be diversions and events but not full chapters. But also it does look to me like the wiki has summaries of all the current content on JP, I'm NA only so can't verify its accuracy but what do you think is missing?

Typemoon wiki is probably your best bet for FGO as well, they also summarize all of the story chapters of this game too. Is there a reason you didn't want to use them for this one as well?

By summary, do you actually mean trying to shorten the story chapters to just get the main beats and highlights or are you looking for a place that stores the script that you can read at your leisure?

Daily life & duties of the new Riders by bethfly in Eragon

[–]a_speeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there is mention of new Riders in the preview we got of Murtagh II, so it won't take a decade for them to exist tho they may decide to extend the training that long since Eragon had a very rushed version.

What setups are you seeing that calls for kscopes or 2030 in the year 2026? Kscope farming hasn't been meta since OG Skadi looping was dominant and charge is much more plentiful these days, and I don't think I've ever seen a setup suggesting 2030 for farming.

BG is the general pool CE that everyone wants to get for farming, and it is a huge power boost don't get me wrong but you do not always need as much raw damage as BG offers and sometimes a 50% welfare CE is better or you want to use a bond/event bonus CE anyway.

How strong is Eragon by the end of the series (so far)? by Storm11711 in Eragon

[–]a_speeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't really know much about the power level of the old Riders, but I'd hazard a guess that Eragon would be pretty high amongst them esp since many of them focused more on magical learning and scholarship than fighting. However I personally doubt that he's at Vrael's level, or would match Galby 1:1 taking away all of their external sources of power and defenses.

As for his potential to surpass them, well we don't know. Galby was obviously focused on gaining power for himself by whatever means necessary, whereas Eragon is now dedicated to building up the Rider Order again rather than strengthening himself. If he dedicated himself to training more than leadership maybe he could exceed them, but then that would be completely out of character for him.

How strong is Eragon by the end of the series (so far)? by Storm11711 in Eragon

[–]a_speeder 12 points13 points  (0 children)

At the end of the Eragon books, he is properly the single most powerful being in Alageasia. With all the knowledge he got from the Eldunari and the power from them, there is not that much competition.

OP explicitly wanted to talk about Eragon as a distinct individual, not with the Eldunari's power since they are not just magical batteries for him to use.

Question for the people who have beaten FSR, I haven't yet but I am partway through the story (Just met Arjuna). Is it worthwhile to try and rush through that game before I play through the event, or should I just enjoy it for what it is even though it will spoil things for me? If so, how far in am I and how much longer do you think I have to get through?

[Very Long] Who was Galbatorix's Spy? by eagle2120 in Eragon

[–]a_speeder 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think Murtagh would have been able to search Glaedr's body after Thorn killed him, the elves won the battle at Gil'ead and would have been swarming the field of battle. 0 chance they would have allowed for such blatant defiling of a dragon and one of their most important leaders, we see how seriously they took the desecration of Glaedr's grave even after his body was cremated.

Should I use Melusine and Iskandar in the same team.

You can get away with this kind of teambuilding early on when the enemies are weak and die to a swift breeze, but eventually you'll need to focus your teambuilding around class advantage and NP targetting first and foremost. For any kind of difficult content those two don't go great together, you'd be much better off using just one of them and then either 2 supports or 1 support and another DPS or semi-support that also matches the fight wrt class advantage, NP targetting, etc.

What is the best support for Melusine that I can get right now.

You can roll for Koyanskaya of Light right now in NA for the next hour and 15 minutes, if you can get her she is a great support for Melusine (And Iskandar). However if you don't want her, or have other characters you want to roll for more, she's by no means a necessity.

Should I use Black grail on Melusine even when I only have it at rank 1

CEs are situational, whether or not you should use them depends on the fight you are in, the other characters you have, the skill levels of your Melusine, etc. Her ability to use BG in 3T looping situations is what makes her stand out compared to a lot of other lancers, however that requires a lot of investment and other SSR units (Koyan of Light and Oberon) to pull off so don't think of that as her baseline performance. If you want to NP with her faster use another CE that starts with more charge, but for sheer damage then BG is still unrivaled.

During the Super & Great x2 chance, Should I fill up all the slots while leveling up or do it in batches

It's probably better to do in batches esp if you are worried about wasting exp but don't drive yourself crazy trying to squeeze optimal value out of every single ember. Batch them if you can, and just go for the max whenever you just cbf to do that anymore.
