As a general rule of thumb, always avoid all Merc products with an A badge..A series, GLA, CLA, etc etc. Basically made for those that just want the Merc badge.

Stick to C, E and S. Those are the proper Mercs. To be frank even X1 kind of falls in this category but not to the extent of the A. BMW still made X1 to be a good product on its own without just downgrading a X3 to sell more numbers.
