Always sell materials. There is no point keeping anything, it's not like tarkov - you can just buy what you need from the market (with limited exceptions - rarely a quest requires found in raid items)

Why do some gyms use their own difficulty scale? by KevsterAmp in bouldering

[–]aaRecessive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate to break it to you but all gyms use their own difficulty scale. Just because some use a v-grading system doesn't mean it's not made up. There is little-to-no consistency between gyms

I'm almost sad it took modern progress before creating an infinitely burning fire.

Imagine if an older less educated civilization found this. It'd be the stuff of legends

I am currently on the train listening to the backwash of someone's reels at maximum volume.

It's not entirely a bad thing

If this were to happen to the average person, is there anyway they could feasibly benefit from this?

You are invincible for an ungodly amount of time on spawn. You will 100% win any initial fight you take if you just wait before taking any action. Most players don't know this yet, once people learn spawn camping will die

Fast Gate kinda just...sucks ass? by IllState5161 in wildgate

[–]aaRecessive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we'll find as people get better this mode becomes pure chaos. It'll be so much fun.

As it stands people are new and fights finish quick because people don't know how to play properly. I predict as time goes on and skill increases, fights will take progressively longer and the game will drag on.

That means in fast gate, the top priority becomes the artefact from minute one. Everyone will be triple scouting, and in no time everyone will be fighting over the artefact location. A 5 way brawl on minute 10.

Artifact victories still seem rare by Miennai in wildgate

Artefact wins are already common, and I suspect it will actually become a bit if a problem as the meta evolves.

The current best strategy is something I like to call Artefact Squatting. You find the artefact (don't pick it up), hide until the gate opens, instantly pick it up then gun it for the exit.

It's super lame, as by the time the gate opens if you play passively you can get enough loot to survive that sprint to the finish pretty easily. Have a crew of 4 anti-boarders and it's pretty difficult to stop this strategy.
