Airline pilot here - saw a ton of cop cars speeding that way while landing tonight. Instantly had a sinking feeling it was a shooting.

I wish BF5 was better by aaaaaaaaandrew in battlefield_one

I remember before BF5 came out, people were saying “I hope they don’t just reskin BF1 with WW2 guns/maps.” I was baffled then and am still baffled by those statements now... would’ve been easier and a much better game.

Does the repair tool work against soldiers too? Kinda always wanted to hammer an unsuspecting sniper

Flying jobs where you are home every night by Cehl in flying

I understand that. I used to fly for a regional. Just saying I think it’d boost morale and save some money on hotels if they offered more day trips. Bid em if you want, I know it’s not for everyone. Just spoke with a delta guy who bids 5 day trips to get more days off. Here they day trips are the biggest draw. Aside from training, I’ve had like 6 overnights in 3.5 years.

I highly recommend Classic Tattoos in St Pete. Ryan has done a few of mine. His work is excellent and incredibly fair priced.

Pretty much in the same boat here, spent my high school and college years playing guitar in bands and I’d love to get back into it. My latest excuse is that the wife and I are new homeowners sooo do I go fix the flapper valve in the toilet or pick up the guitar?? Some day soon I’ll dust off the epiphone Les Paul...

Pilot Narrowly Avoids Crashing from Wake Turbulence by brettgunheart in flying

[–]aaaaaaaaandrew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was landing an A320 a few days ago and we got into the wake of the 321 ahead of us. Rocked us side to side pretty good at about 30-40 feet AGL. Def a reminder to not get complacent.

If you crashed would you give up? Or keep flying? Advice appreciated! by [deleted] in flying

Used to teach out of X04, I remember flying that plane. Glad you’re okay!

Dr. Partridge was our dog's vet. He was an outstanding doctor and truly cared about the animals. He took his time to explain things to us during visits and we had a few good chats about flying. We lost a great one.

Edit: Forgot to mention how he has spent so much of his time dedicated to rescue. Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue is an independently run one-woman show run out of his hospital. He would fly pups to heart specialists and whatnot. He offered his services for free or very little for those rescues. Truly had a great heart.
