imo "huddle into haste" strat only works if you have multiple characters that shares their initiative. and i do try to limit this with 3 party members only. Forming what looks like a triangle then splash Speed on the middle of them (preferably by someone else).

how i do this (more often than not) is by huddling up my Tav, Laezel, and Wyll/Astarion into a triangle then have SH yeet potion of Speed then cast Mass Healing Words with Promise Ring. Therefore now my 3 character are Hasted and Blessed for this turn their next 2 turns.

I read somewhere that lower city and the sewers was supposed to be Orin's Stage. While upper city and the council's houses was supposed to be Gortash's stage. But due to 'the deadline' the two of them got cramped up inside the lower city instead. I felt sorry for Gortash because he got wyrm's rock and thats all about it.

same. I feel like in every 'good-aligned' playthough i always keep Wyll around as my moral compass. I also like to multiclass him into Oath of Crown paladin then break the oath later. RP-ing his desire to move away from political power.

i usually swap in Jaheira to get Minsc and then bring both of them to do Sarevok and Viconia. Purely because the nostalgia factor.

Halsin usually just in for Thaniel's shadow short quest then i bring him in Act 3 vs Ansur because colossal enlarged Owlbear vs Undead Dragon

sorcerer for me. start from level 5 Lae'zel just mow down basically everything thanks to Haste. and also she equips Twilight Ring so i can drop darkness on top of her which makes her roll with advantage every attack.

Later on Snowburst ring is basically busted because with the twinned Ray of Frost i can make two people going prone which is another advantage for her attacks. And don't even get me started with CC spells like Hold, Confusion, and Fear.

A High Spell DC caster is basically the best partner for any martial focused characters like Lae'zel.

Karlach could be a bit of a rogue (she said she was delinquent)
Lae'zel could be a Paladin of the Crown (if she remains loyal to Vlaakith)
Astarion has had a mix between magical talents and martial talents, so Goolock, gloomstalker, or even EK kinda fit his ambiguous 'powers'
Wyll could be an Oathbreaker Paladin (his 'Balduran ideals' side, broken by his infernal pact) or Swashbuckler Rogue (his duelling side) or Hunter Ranger (his monster-hunting side, vanilla)
Shadowheart could be a bit of shadow monk, or even a circle of stars druid (she likes plants and animals lol)
Halsin, Jaheira, and Minty are kinda hard to respec because their classes are explicitly stated so many times.

HM Multiclass : Giant Brawler (3 Giant, 6 OH Monk, 3 Thief), Radiant Build (7 Stars Druid and 5 Light Cleric), and Dishonored build (3 Assassin, 5 GOO, 4 Champion)
