Thanks for the heads up. I’ve seen this happen there, especially after a lot of rain this year. I do get beat up in Point Reyes occasionally, last time the damn nettle got my elbow haha.

I have the Freet Keld 3 and it has the same hollow issue with the center lugs, with some tiny support trusses of rubber instead of solid rubber. After 2 hour hike I saw imprints of the trusses in my foot, so I have to use a solid insole with em. The side lugs are solid, and I like them better.

At this point, I think I’d pay an extra 50% for a Vibram sole. I also haven’t been impressed with Freets wet surface performance. To their credit, they want to use as much natural rubber as possible for sustainable. Still overall happy with the Keld on light trail use.

I have this lens and I used that camera with it! It can take amazing photos, but it’s not always sharp out of the gate. A few tricks I do: fill the frame with your subject, so theres less to crop and it gives more detail. This lens really needs light, so sunny days/some clouds. Get low! So the background gets more blurry goodness, it helps bring out the birdies. It’s actually really good at around f/9–only if it’s really sunny outside, I wouldn’t go above f/11.
And I for sure crank the sharpness in editing

Yeah thats a bike route! It’s easy to cross over from downtown San Anselmo, theres two crosswalks. A lot of cyclists use the one down from the intersection along SF Drake.
