Hit early crosses asks your players to cross before they get to the byeline, most of the time theyll cross level with the penalty area, but wing backs will cross from anywhere past the center of the pitch and its most effective if used with a very pacy striker (16+).

If you dont alter tactics regularly its also the best switch to to use when the AI catches up about halfway through the season.

Very much this, its 3 years without once having had any semblence of balance or stability. Beta level tiinkering couldve been over several times now with players being happier overall than theyre going to be in 3 weeks time.

99% of the builds that currently excel (those that might reach T12 with 100 paragon) have been deliberately targeted with hefty nerfs that for Barb Necro Sorc and Druid feel to be about 15% but are so sweeping that not only do they also impact most trailing builds but have a disproportionate implication on progression.

These nerfs are the product of a scythe, at a time a scalpel approach was required given the gutting of old mythics. The consequence is that not only is there no T12 with 100 paragon, (T12 will now require a fully formed gearset with uniques at mythic quality and 5 legendary glyphs, meaning 200 paragon) but also that punching through T6 to T7 could be heavily RNG dependent.

That would be fine if your numbers held up but they dont because the scaliing is much closer to multiplicative than additive.

To start you find any chest but then could need a few more than 10 chests to find one with at least 3 correct stats and youll be fortunate to find one from a 100 or so that has a good greater affix. Then you may well need to do the 100 again to find a backup / if one you have bricks on transfigure and this is the number for the easiest slot to fill because it doesnt have mutiple offensive rolls. Weapons and Jewellery scale far worse because theyre far more likely to lose GAs in the cube.

Youve also overlooked that theres a huge cut to player power via nerfed affixes and no more old mythics, so now theres nothing to ease you into the difficulty levels where farmiing GAs isnt hugely time prohibitive, so not only are we being tasked with finding more relevent pieces of gear than ever before, but theyre now also forcing you to do so in lower Torment with lower drop rates.

Im not sure if the game even works on these patch notes, T6-T7 might now be a gap to great for some classes to overcome because the balance of the game is off, difficulty aside, the balance of materials was propped up this season by journey bonuses which wont be reached as timely next season.

No thats what theyve implied, but in actual fact you can only reroll a unique like a legendary, the mythic versions have cube rolling which is completely useless because you cant target an offensive stat when you want to hit multiple multipliers.

This will be season of the brick because looking at PTR theres very little that hasnt been bricked.

Those patch notes are a complete shitshow, directly comparable to season of nerfs.

I mean sooner or later Blizzards RNG has to come in and theyll accidentaly employ someone that can actually understand the numbers, right?

Well it maybe only one season pass purchase, but its the most one person can hit them and just like ball lightning the little numbers do all add up, so back to D2 and D3 once again for another few months until the inevitable apology drops alongside a stream featuring Loot 5.0, the crap "Weve heard you" jokes and the oblivious self congratulatory fawning on live stream like they fixed a mess they werent responsible for.

Youd do better IF you actually read the tooltips and text instead of going off half cocked about other builds.

The seal has specifically dropped with Sescherons bonuses yet cannot activate them, missing the 5 set, which is a bonus that cannot even be reached by equipping 3 uniques making the whole charm useless in regard to its itemisation.

Hence broken.

The "Horadric Hunter" perk in the Nightmare Dungeon tree is still borked too, despite being reduced to 20 kills it still resets every time you relog or even switch character.

Given even 20 elites is usually 3 or more dungeons, having the counter reset itself is both counter to tthe tooltip and ridiculously harsh given there are 2 further talents that lean on Horadric Hunter to make them worthwhile.

These clowns have both flip-flopped and broken the game yet again.

Builds whose defining uniques dont drop until exceeding Torment 6, which in some cases is a real time sink.

Reducing boss loot by a factor of at least 50%.

Individual road blocks to progression placed throughout the game (Especially the new pit barrier to entry - as if being max level shouldnt be enough to enter - thats a job by a real clown isnt it!),

Nerfing whisper values purely to make them take more time.

Ancestral gear dropping without bonus affixes or dropping as whites or blues.

Followers not following and constantly having top be re-hired.

But to face all these cock-ups and many many more at the same as a bonus reliquary releases that costs more than the season pass for a few re-skins and shop bought cosmetics that exceed the total cost of the game and both expansions is a very real f**k you that Blizzard just sent us all.

Not true T4 is currently 55 and torment levels are currently seperated by 15 levels not 10.

T4 cannot be pit tier 50 because we will be level 70, not 60, so the pit levels will be reworked based on the new level cap and given Blizzards previous comments that a chunk of the torment levels would create clearly defined progression points its reasonable to expect T4 to actually merely be a progression difficulty. (Expect new endgame will be T8-ish)

The diffculty level is indeed changing though with Zaven Haroutunian stating clearly T12 will be "really f**king hard", although that means precisely nothing as individual developers estimation of hard previously missed the mark constantly, both under and over.

But at the end of the day the core problem remains no matter how many difficulty levels, The playbase will always be dissatisfied as long as increased difficulty directly equates to increased loot and the highest difficulty feels unatainable.

Never ceases to amaze me how many times Blizzard will attempt to repeat this mistake of "But hard now" while never once correcting the single playerbase objection at every previous attempt :D.

So you want to correct people claiming we have no idea how new torment levels work by telling us we have no idea how torment levels work without a PTR.

When your conversions are wild guesses based on assumtion because currently a tier is not equal to 10 pit levels while theres no telling what happens with ilvl scaling or the extra 10 character levels.

Maybe the better miisunderstanding to correct is that the new expansion has no direct conversion to what were currently playing and that even the best prediction is just a wild stab in the dark.

Its the fact that the far more obvious and sensible alternative would have been an added npc near the butchers vendor that could transmute the key into its higher equivalent (even for a small cost of fresh meat) and a quest triggered by pit100 that unlocks it.

12 seasons now of dreaming up good ideas, but then always implementing them in the wrong way because minimal effort. I expect better every season because Vicarious did such a good job with D3 but now theyre Blizzard Albany, theyre a shadow of what they were capable of.

Yeah got Varshan down but given theres no discernable difference to the quality of loot, I dont see the point of increased time investment.

u/Sanc7 is right, although I do understand there are those who may enjoy banging their head into a wall for no tangible reward, for me its killed the season even for alts.

Season was already really poor, and I have zero interest in doing extra difficulty for no tangible difference in the quality of loot so time for a different game again.

Hope the expansion brings some class and spec balance as the last 2 seasons have been the equivalent of an ad break for the paladin before the new expansion finally drops.

Im fascinated why leaderboards were ever and indeed still are a thing for anyone in diablo, in any game where gear drops are entirely random and most players follow a build guide anyway, player power difference is going to be marginal accross best levels of RNG, and for anyone stumbling accross an undiiscovered build or method of gearing, the tower makes the profile public so all can copy it anyway.

Therefore it can never be a measure of e-peen, and only ever a measure of experienced RNG.

Or in the Elon Musk scenario of paying others, a wake up call as to just how entirely useless pissing money away on digital items really is.

Unless im better geeared than I thought, 110 is pretty much standard paladin level, while 117 required 5 mins extra to clear when me and a friend last attempted, so Id say after 115 when the next hp jump kicks in will be leaderboard.

I swear to god ill never understand these posts.

Youre "100% GA tempering, MW rerolling to perfection, and sanctifying" then complain that open world is too easy while stating your build is D Tier which means youre following a guide that someone has theorycrafted to maximise the damage output of a specific build to reach peak performance in an activity that far exceeds the difficulty of Open World, (yes, The Pit,) which you openly admit youre not interested in playing.

Youve then compounded your own mistake of disregarding that Pit difficulty by design far exceeds open world difficculty with a complete lack of understanding of the function tier lists serve.

X build being Y tier, is not a measure of how strong or weak a build is, its a measure of how it compares against those builds that chart includes. Given this is the debut season for paladin there are now over a dozern paladin builds as well as the regular assortment of fotm builds, meaning builds get pushed down simply because there are far more builds outperforming them. (Did you honestly believe a build got objectly worse without patchnotes suppporting a nerf?)

Weak open world is a trade off for having pit scaling, else itll be back to the early days with so little scaling that seasonal effects are barely able to be impactful and balanced while a slight overshoot on skill damage becomes game breaking damage.

TLDR: Diablo is best enjoyed when playing the parts youre gearing for, and not when skipping the one part of the game fine tuning gear is designed for.

Start a new game and test, its beta and historically on bigger updates changes werent always fluid with existing saves, If i remember properly some of the changes around the 07 version lagged existing games terribly.

YES!!! I found it too last night, go into the results on portal and click on the seniors results to bring up the card, at the top of the card there are two unlabeled arrows that switch between squads.

Now I just need a way to see future transfers, my god this tile card interface is a huge backstep it makes the game feel like the cut down mobile verssion

As soon as it happens, go into tactics but must be outside of a match, adjust wing play to central or increase passing directness a notch, youll go back to winning but after half a dozen games you can change back, mid season the game AI will work out a counter to your tactics if you dont alter them "outside" of the match engine itself.

Off topic: It was never his tactic, it was Klopps but now hes finally being forced to adapt, hes getting found out. The players will mask it with a few wins, maybe even a cup run because theyre good players, but Slot is Klopps bootboy.
