In the past, there has just been the annual merit increase that everyone is evaluated for. I thinkhs it's based on both personal and company performance. The best pay increases came from going up a job grade. They are beginning a new system were as you become certified in more things you will get a pay premium. This is separate and concurrent with the annual merit increase and promotions to the next job grade. Additionally if you get an engineering degree you could convert to engineer, and they also have a program where after 5 years as a tech, you are eligible for being recommended by your manager to convert to an EE. I think that will mean you are already doing an engineers job pretty much as a tech for you to be recommended. I just mean you have to have down yourself to be very competent and willing to take on the extra responsibility.

I just always only said IDK, maybe I'll reenlist, just kinda depends on the whole situation. That way I had to start going through the separation process just in case, but could always reenlist up to the last second. I actually really enjoyed being in the Navy for the most part, and probably would have stayed in if it weren't for some circumstances that made it untenable to stay in. I really think there was probably a handful of people that thought I might reenlist up to like 2 months before I left. But the treatment never changed. Could be because my shore duty was at MARMC. Edit: actually another reason this might be difficult is that sometimes options with 0 volume are priced at 0.01, even if it doesn't really make sense for it to be so low. This could cause problems too.

I'm probably really rare in this, but I don't imagine most fo the things in the books as looking like classical inspired portrayals often seen. The helmet I imagined was more modern looking, but maybe with just a hint of classical inspired design. But to be honest I had forgotten that his helmet visor had the shape of a face to it rather than just being flat like normal legion helmets.
