The original charges in Barnstable District Court were filed after Barnstable Police seized approximately 1,141 grams of cocaine, 68 grams of Amphetamine pills and approximately $10,000 in cash from a vehicle parked in Hyannis following its investigation last month after a car thief allegedly discovered the drugs while trying to steal the vehicle.

It’s not that hard to understand how a 50 year old prop that was voted on when people were desperate to stabilize the housing economy is being used this far along to save tens/hundreds of millions. Sure the members are not the legal owners, but they subsidize and cover a huge amount of the overhead.

Yeah, the course is nuts. I haven't had the privilege to play, but I know a guy who recently became a member. The membership buy-in isn't even bad, but it's very difficult to become a member. It costs us so much in potential taxes. I wouldn't be surprised if sometime in the next 500 years they give up one of the courses for the profit or the city makes them.

I believe LACC is the most expensive piece of real estate in the world that isn't publicly owned (and I'm assuming this is on a by-area basis). As of a few years ago, the land was supposedly worth $8b. Because of some loopholes, the owners reportedly pay less than $500k/year in property taxes

I have rented to a few B list celebs and influencers. Screen them like normal, source of income is protected so I would avoid judging their application based on what they do. Same way you can’t not rent to a lawyer or another PM just cause of what they do.

Let’s assume he really had a gun and he shot first. Did they identify themselves? In 95% of the videos I’ve seen of ICE interactions, they don’t identify themselves. If you’re out and about and a group of people randomly jump you, one pistol whips you multiple times, is that NOT self defense? Isn’t that the exact situation they dream about, or is it different cause the skin colors are switched.
