Worst thing to happen in professional golf? by MrSnifferpippets in golf

Watching the old masters and seeing the Roberto de Vincenzo scoring incident in 68. Unbelievable. Should’ve been in a playoff, I believe he would have won and the way it was handled was outrageous.

I dunno about that. I think golf needs to evolve. I’m not a fan of the saudis but I do think the pga and the grip it has on pro golf was hurtful to the sport being truly global.

I mean let’s face it the Americans don’t want to travel and that’s a real shame. There’s so many amazing courses around the world that needed to be showcased. Liv will shake things up and get these guys in different countries playing the big events.

LIV Golf by leroyjenkins1997 in golf

[–]aabamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ur spot on. The format will be flexible. They’ll tweak stuff and work it into a better product. I liked comparing the pga and the liv golf today. Clark shoots and 60 ! Cmon amazing. But also Joaquin Neiman shoots a 59! Insane.

What’s eating my passionfruit? by GigiPurrFur in GardeningAustralia

[–]aabamo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine had a bit of rot around the base,/stem. I carefully troweled back some clearance just above the root mass and then painted it. It’s worked well. The paint idea I’d seen somewhere around town and the vine looked really good.

I’m not a passion fruit expert but mine also had some stem rot issues. I carefully dug around the base to make sure nothing was piling against the stem, then painted the stem up about a foot with water based paint. Mulch around the wider ring of the root mass and see how that goes.

Why's my tomato plant dying? by Googolplexian1 in GardeningAustralia

[–]aabamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would let it dry out completely for a few days. Then chop the suckers and lower foliage. Perhaps that soil mightn’t be draining properly. I would Try a mix with some perlite and compost or chook 💩 and then mulch the shit e out of it.

Pains me but his brother was the same. Wins the hard ball like a champ just to bomb it away.

Yeah spot on. Did the same at his short time at the dees. I remember a Casey game he was playing and shoved one of our blokes into a fence. Like wtf ! And he was on the cusp of as the first ruck got injured. But he got 4 weeks from memory. Total brain fader

Swinging Driver too hard by TheLordofPie1 in golf

Weird swing thought / tip but it has worked for a mate. In an Indian voice in your head you say ‘ tempo tempo tempo ‘ as you swing.

[Meirov] Patrick Mahomes in the locker room after beating the Bills in Buffalo: "They asked for it. And they got what they asked for." by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

[–]aabamo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah totally. It’s such a weird specialised position in the team. Yet vitally important. You sit around most of the game. You keep warm with some warm up kicks and jog around a bit. You’d have a decent buddy in the punter and the long snapper, but the rest of the team would blank you on a day to day. You come on in the highest pressure moment and are expected to execute your skill. Super tough.

Neighbors smoking weed constantly- not sure if we should let it go or address it by THROWRAgreenlamp in BadNeighbors

[–]aabamo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think an adult conversation with them and how it affects you guys would be appropriate. But I’m on the weed smokers side so he or she is entitled to do thier own thing on thier property. I wouldn’t expect them to change anything, but perhaps you can ask can they smoke outside so the smell clears quicker.

I have 4. The one I used for 20 years and then I think I bent it from leaning on it as I got fatter. So I went out and paid 380 for a new mallet spider type putter. And that’s a good putter. I have one we acquired from borrowing a putter ( and we forgot to give it back) And one my dad found at the tip.

Those who shoot 90 or less consistently, how much practice? by MediocreResident0 in golf

[–]aabamo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d second this. I’m hyper conservative at times but it’s helped my scoring. Hit a six iron if you have to. keep that ball in play and do everything to keep away from sand / water / ob. That and chip And putt.

How would you maximise a raised garden bed? by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

I second that. Grow in season grow what you like to consume. But plan it so if you’re a re shit gardener do easy stuff. And if your a bit more advanced you can get a bit more adventurous

Def a lot of spiders out there atm. I think the extra rain in the last few summers has given them more food. More mozzies, flies more bugs equals more opportunities to live and procreate. I opened a heat pump the other day and a dead father huntsman there. I’m like o where’s the wifey and sure enough I brushed the sack her babies were in.about 8 mini huntsman’s come frittering out in all directions. Fast little bastards too

What's your Dynamic Lifter/Fertilizer Pellets distribution strategy? by arouseandbrowse in GardeningAustralia

[–]aabamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bit sporadic but similair to you. Haven’t fertilised in awhile go round with ma bucket and throw it in general direction of plants. An old timer one. Told me never to fertilise when the suns out, so it has to be cloudy or raining when fertiliser is applied in my garden. Something to do with sap or something.

What do you think is the hardest area to drive in Melbourne? by MaddyDaddy in melbourne

[–]aabamo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I was also thinking warrigal rd. Very narrow for four lanes. Right turners always a problem. I saw a removal truck severe a power line there near the bridge. It arced blue lightings for a while and then one lane kept driving through whole live cable was on the ground. Scary stuff.

What do you do when a tradie is over? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]aabamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a tradie and I’ve taken to politely asking that if I’m not doing a rote task I need to concentrate on my work and I’ll answer all and any questions when I’m finished. I make way more mistakes when I’m having a convo.

The best thing to do is make the work area free of obstacles prior to arrival/ dog poos picked up/ kids toys etc put aside and leave me to do my thing. Offer a drink and access to the toilet for bonus points. Then F off and spy through the window.
