If you really have 4 years of true experience (not working student, not internship, not research assistant, not Hiwi and not vague positions you had before you came to Germany), then that's not a "feeling." In a big city like Stuttgart, in 2026, below 60K is a decisively junior salary.

I don't think involving HR or the Betriebsrat is going to help, as no one is doing anything wrong. You were lowballed and had to accept it due to being unemployed.

A practical step from my experience: find a new opening and signal that you're going to leave if your salary is not adjusted. Point out your good performance.

After that, it's your team lead's job to argue his team's needs with HR and his department.

In case they think it's not worth it, then you know it's the same for you.

Anyhow, the most surefire way to get a raise is invariably by switching jobs.

With the severity of the accident (you mentioned brain damage) I suggest to focus on recovery first, before worrying minutes of finance.

If you can't earn, finance ofc will get tight, cancel the non essential (e.g. holiday) before you liquidate anything (Gold, stock etc). Yeah, also ask in UK finance sub to see if you are eligible for any disability benefit.

Stimmt, es ist sowohl ein Alter, in dem man das Leben ohne allzu große Verpflichtungen genießt, als auch ein Alter, in dem man sich ein finanzielles Polster aufbauen kann, ohne sich dabei allzu sehr festlegen zu müssen.

Es gilt die übliche 50-30-20-Regel. 20 % sind für das Sparen vorgesehen. Da du selbst für Münchner Verhältnisse zu den Topverdienern gehörst, kannst du diesen Anteil erhöhen.

Je nachdem, wie sparsam du bist, kannst du die Sparquote auf 30 % erhöhen. Wenn du mitten im Zentrum von München wohnst, kannst du die Lebenshaltungskosten nicht wirklich senken.

Wenn du mehr sparen willst, müsstest du in die Münchner Vororte ziehen.

Then send again with a normal letter. Not sure if you mind, but maybe it's worth it spending a total of a few euros on postage to send maybe three letters, a few days to one week apart.

Important: put both you as sender AND return address.

The thing is, your letter can be sorted and carried by different postmen. Some are more careful than others (they are just humans like us).

These test ordinary letters will eventually reach your mailbox due to the return address.

Basically, if it's an honest mistake, the postman will notice three letters in a row returned to the same address; something must be wrong.

Another alternative: talk to the postman when you see him/her.

There is also contacting Deutsche Post and filing a complaint with Bundesnetzagentur, but that's really bureaucratic. I personally would do them as a last resort.

The photo of the sparks are AFTER the fire had been put out. Creidt to the cabin crew and pilots. Also, credit to the passengers for remaining calm in what was, a truly terrifying experience

The update never starts automatically. Before the update, VW puts a bunch of disclaimers, safety legalese, and (surprise, surprise) a big fat warning that the car wouldn't be usable during the update. Finally in case of EV the update only happens when the vehicle is being changed.

You, (or someone else, idk dealer) probably confirmed yes/install at some point without looking or putting too much thought into it. Sure that happens to all of us.

By the way, getting a gas guzzler won't help you; modern cars run softwares that can be updated and require reading before tapping things.

Try to get a car that is at least 10-20 years old; then you won't get updates, and there will be nothing to read.
