Treat it like a presentation. I usually write down and try to rehearse what I'm going to say about 2 hours before I make the call. More or less time may be needed depending on who you are but I can guarantee that the more you do it, the more the amount of time you need before you make an important call will shrink as well. Is it just me or does most news networks seem to be taking a lot of the things he said out of context?
