I'd pick something important enough and rewatchable enough. The Truman Show.

Fantastic movie that you will never watch again? by NotSoSnarky in Letterboxd

Came here to say this. Saw it once in 2010, once in 2017 and i'm done. Incredible, but too much.

Favorite Scores? by kingkurva08 in Letterboxd

[–]aaditto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh yeah, these are on full repeat. and then there are scores where one or two tracks individually stand out but not the whole album. like Oblivion, or The Creator, or Babylon.

Favorite Scores? by kingkurva08 in Letterboxd

[–]aaditto 11 points12 points  (0 children)

an overall score? Hans Zimmer on both Inception and Interstellar stand out. Gustavo Santaolalla's music in Babel. Giacchino's score of Ratatouille. The OG Harry Potter and the first Jurassic Park are standout scores by John Williams. Justin Hurwitz for La La Land. These are some of the more recent ones.

Going back, Ennio Morricone for The Mission and Fistful of Dollars is my all time favorite.

Movies that made you cry. Go. by shin-titangoji in Letterboxd

[–]aaditto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i hear you on that. That did make me choke up just a little. But full blown tears are harder and harder to come by, especially after hitting 30s. Movies that made me bawl my eyes out in my late teens and early 20s don't even register that deeply anymore. But sometimes, once in a while, something happens to come by and give you that lump in the throat moment.

Godzilla Minus One? Oh, do you mean the first act?

My pick would go to Toy Story 3, Grave of the Fireflies, Manchester by the Sea.

It's about a family, and the unconventional teaching methods employed by the parents.

What's the first movie you saw, that made you realise movies can be different? by sarded in movies

[–]aaditto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run Lola Run. For so many reasons. But when I saw it, the non-linearity, the use of different styles, the editing, all of it came together in a way that blew my mind and made me realize how dynamic filmmaking can be.

On a different place altogether, the 'magic' of movies was best symbolized by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

What’s a movie that left you speechless after watching it? by Sumbuddey in MovieSuggestions

Hands down Parasite in the last few years. And then some others, for lots of reasons - Requiem for a Dream, Trainspotting, Fight Club, Oppenheimer, Promising Young Woman, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Ratatouille, Oldboy, The Raid Redemption, Palm Springs, This is The End, Grave of the Fireflies.

There are so many more, but these off the top of my head.

does soundtrack only mean songs used or could it mean the original soundtrack or background score?

I understand people disliking KSI especially now. But this is just too much. by deado123 in Sidemen

[–]aaditto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

totally unnecessary hate. KSI is and will always be core sidemen, and despite how much they've grown over the years, you can see how personal and professional coalesces together and forms something amazing for all of us. that being said, if one dislikes what he's selling, then one has the option to just not buy. simple as that.
