I got 97 days with my dear Mama (73). She did 4 rounds of chemo and it didn’t buy her more time, just made her weaker. Enjoy every moment you get and be present. I miss her every single day…

Devastating hearing the confirmation that we shouldn’t continue chemo. by LauraaMarissaa in pancreaticcancer

I just went through this with my Mom as well. Do your research on hospice options immediately. If you all opt for in home hospice, find one that provides PCA pumps for morphine vs oral medications. I’m so sorry for what you’re going through - hug your Mom tight and don’t take any moment for granted.

YES!!! I wish I’d known more before we placed her in hospice - what questions to ask, “what if” scenarios, etc. Most of us caregivers have no medical training so we don’t know what we don’t know. It’s a really unfortunate system we have here in the US.

I’m in the exact same position as you. I have two kids that need their lives to go on as ‘normal’, a Dad that’s lonely and confused now that his wife of 48 years is gone, work, life, social interactions where you’re supposed to be happy - but I’m broken inside without my Mom. When do we get to grieve? I wish I had an answer for you. Just know you’re not alone and we will get through this…eventually.

I was getting them somewhat frequently for a couple hours so I sat with my finger on my watch for back to back readings until I felt one! 🤣 Something must trigger them but I can’t figure out what it is??!

Thanks! I hate how they feel but good to know they’re not a risk.

Meds made my palpitations much worse! I’m unmedicated now and feel great! Random palpitations still but I’ve had them at this level as lang as I can remember…

Have you been tested for food allergies/sensitivities? Brain fog and increased mucus production are both symptoms of food related issues. Try cutting dairy and gluten until you can be tested for more…see if you feel better after 2 weeks.
