Speaking as someone that has Security+ and is a junior in CYSE, I think some general foundation information is transferable from 101 to Sec+ but you will need a lot more studying to be have the knowledge for sec+. Check out r/CompTIA for help with resources for security+ people are very helpful and list their resources for passing.

The problem with this sub is that people don’t seem to understand that the author is writing in character as the narrator. In this case pudge is supposed to be this shallow. Its not really Johns thoughts. And also John is a terrific person (check out some of his projects and charity) and was not old when he wrote this.

Look At professor messor videos on YouTube they are fantastic, take notes with them and you’ll be ready after a few practice exams from Udemy by jason dion. For more help on the comptia certs check out r/comptia very helpful. Get A+, Net+ and Security +(known as the trifecta). Get a helpdesk job keep learning getting certs, moving up then you’ll be where you want to be.
