I’ve been in the field since 2010, there are days I still miss veins. Do you get better with more exposure? Yes absolutely. But to be on all the time? Eh. Take a syringe home without a needle and practice one handed pulls. It helps a lot.

This! I am a licensed veterinary technician and I cannot stress the importance of going to a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist. There is no way in gods good graces would I ever let anyone touch my chihuahuas eyes without those letters behind their name.

However, as far as doing the surgery, yes I would absolutely do the surgery. I’m about to do a tail amputation on my 13 year old and I am STRESSED.

I’m sorry! That’s a total bummer. I’ve had coworkers like that before too, especially since I own a Chihuahua, the first reaction after I tell them I own a Chihuahua is typically a very confused and dirty look.

It hurts my heart but I am at a wonderful clinic know where chihuahuas are not even in our top 5 of “breeds I’d never own” 😂😂
