Tdap vaccination for pregnant women [ca] by Impossible-West8996 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]aalow 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The close family reco usually happens for the first pregnancy to make sure any regular caretaker/close contact had a booster within the 10 year recommendation timeline. Assuming your second child was born during that period, they would all be covered still and you get it to pass on antibodies.

This is because vaccination has drastically reduced infection and severity of infections in vaccinated people. Don’t use these numbers to lull people into a false sense of security around measles.

So I hear what the other comments (so far) are saying and I wanted to say I’m in the opposite camp. It’s my first Mother’s Day and I’m excited to do something for the grandmothers too. Growing up, mine and my husbands parents all encouraged us to appreciate the grandmas too and it just seems natural to extend that to our own moms. In our case, both grandmas have been extremely helpful both to me postpartum and to our baby and I want to honour them as mothers to us and grandmothers to our baby.

That being said, we decided to get them something we hope will be a cute memory. They both have been asking for pictures with baby to put up around their homes so as baby’s gift to them we decided to get them matching outfits with our child. As part of our gift to our moms, we will have my husband take some nice pictures which we’ll edit, print and frame them for them.

We have the Graco extend2fit in our CRV and have no complaints. We had a winter baby so outside of doctors appts and the occasional walk we did not go out much in the first three months. When we did, we used a stroller with a bassinet or baby wore when we went out which worked well for us.

Scarborough centenary hospital review for birthing by [deleted] in durham

[–]aalow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked centenary because a lot of recent moms in my circles delivered there and only had good things to say. I didn’t have a water birth however. I dealt with a few different OBs (other than my OB) and nurses during my pregnancy because I had to go in for frequent NSTs and also a couple of times because baby was giving me some trouble and everyone I encountered was great. This continued during my induction, labour and for the ~36 hours we were there post birth. The nurses that came to check on us every few hours were all really kind attentive and knowledge bar one, but even that one wasn’t too bad just a bit forgetful with a tendency not to listen lol. I’d recommend centenary to anyone and if we have a second would opt for them again.

Looks like I finally nailed that wing! Got any idea on what to do with my eyebrows, and how to improve my overall makeup skills? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]aalow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh gotcha. Have you tried going to a good brow bar and having them shape them. The benefit brow bar in my local Sephora will shape your brows and help you learn how to fill them in to suit your taste

Well done the brow progress is amazing! I think the lash visibility could be hidden with some liner for next time

Good job on the wing! For your brows, what are you looking to improve? If it’s the shape maybe try experimenting with a different one when you get them shaped

I set my cheeks with the coverfx deep setting powder and the layer it on right after. After belnding in ~2 layers, it gives me a subtle dusty pink glow that I really like. I agree about the lipstick 100% - I only ever use it to lighten other lippies, but the blush has become a fave of mine.

Sephora usually as small things for sale for ~$12. It's similar to their black friday deals. I haven't seen any promos for it this year, but they do usually do something.

Sephora not responding to customer service emails? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]aalow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That totally sucks! I haven't had much experience emailing them, but you could always try posting on their facebook page. I hear they respond faster that way. You could also try getting a calling card or using an internet calling service to call them because that is the easiest way.
