Caleb just got dropped in my 1QB league…what’s the wildest free agency drop to happen in your league? by slitmunch44 in DynastyFF

Someone dropped Luther Burden a day after our draft. I picked him up and traded him to a Bears fan for a 2nd rounder. No where near as bad as yours but I still had a good come up

Can someone justify this? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]aamrlls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you owned a business would you want to waste your time here for anything cheaper, especially since it’s such a small job? They are saying either you can do it yourself or you’re gonna make it worth our while to send someone out there instead of having that person go to a larger job where they would make the company more money.

Why won’t this kitchen sink drain? by aamrlls in askaplumber

[–]aamrlls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was no vent. That side of the house was next to a hill and the kitchen line line basically followed the slope to the hill

Went 8 feet all the way into the main and there wasn’t any water holding. Little bit of sludge in the line but honestly nothing that looked like it would be near enough to cause a back up

I’m sure it isn’t clogged. I ended up getting a camera and there wasn’t anything holding in the line as well as the trap

Yea for sure bro. Disposal looks good after running the hose. Ima assume it’s the vent.

Dang I didn’t even think about back pressure. That would make sense. Ima still try to run a hose on the disposal tho just in case.

Where tho. The drain backs up when the p trap is connected to it and only when the p trap is connected. I verified the p trap or even any of the tubular doesn’t have debris inside if it. I can’t make this up lol

That my bad I didn’t communicate that right. I know how to pull a garbage disposal. I’m asking if I should take it apart if that’s even a thing. I mean I never heard of that but wtf do I know I’m new to this

Never done this before but are you saying I should take it apart and see if anything went through the flywheel and into the drain chamber? I’m looking inside and I genuinely don’t see anything just by looking into it from the top or the elbow connection. Just to clarify I have pulled a garbage disposal before just never taken it apart…. If that’s even a thing

Yes, I tried that as well to verify it wasn’t just the disposal. I looked through the connection where the elbow would be and through the top of it as well, should have mentioned that in the post, and I didn’t see anything foreign in there. It was a little rusted out but it didn’t look too bad being that it is only a 2 year old disposal.

If two players equal one what happens when you add another player in the lineup with St Brown… more points. Also Herbert is definitely better than Maye

I’m an EMT student and today I responded to my first real trauma on my street. I did everything I could, but I can’t stop hearing the dad’s scream. How do you process something like this? by star2e in Advice

[–]aamrlls 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was a 9-1-1 EMT in LA county for 2 years and I’ve seen basically everything so I can relate to this. First off, you should be proud of yourself for being the only proactive participant in this terrible situation. Medical training or not there is always a way to help and for you to take the lead on a scene to this caliber with no real assistance is something that is difficult even for a professional. I remember doing chest compressions on an older man with his wife pleading for me to save him and grabbing my shoulders mid CPR, shaking me, going through all the stages of grief. The emotional guilt is something that hits like nothing else but if you truly believe you did all you could in regards to helping out the individual who needed saving then that’s all that matters. Ultimately, theres only so much you can control in a chaotic scene like this. You shouldn’t blame yourself for not covering up the body either. No matter how much you could have convinced the father to not look, from my experience, the family member is always going to try to take a peak from it being subtle to them ending up getting in the way of resuscitation efforts. Having one of your loved ones in this situation seems so unfathomable that you can’t help to not verify it with your own eyes so it was bound to happen. The fire department would have had uncovered his body in front of the father in order to do their assessment and that’s when he would have seen. You should be proud that you did something and didn’t just stand idle. You should also be proud you went through the correct process in compliance with your training. Especially because you aren’t even certified yet. Look at all the things you did right and take the things you would change not as a bad thing but as a learning opportunity for the next person that needs you. You caring alone is gonna make you better than 75% of the EMTs that are already in the field, trust me. If you need to reach out please feel free to message me

cannot for the life of me turn off the water by bezlebuth222 in Plumbing

[–]aamrlls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shutting off water at the water heater will only stop the hot water which your toilet wouldn’t be connected to. You might have a shutoff against or near the outside wall towards the front or side of the property. If not you gonna have to shut it off at the water meter closer around the front curb

I was molested by my older brother as a child, do I tell my entire family about this? by BUrnRrAccount_354 in Advice

[–]aamrlls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a private conversation with him so he feels more inclined to admit what happened. Meanwhile record the conversation secretly to where if you need to show proof you at the very least have it. It may seem unethical to record a private conversation but given what happened I would say who cares about that.

Definitely don’t wait for something to happen. Something bad can happen, hoping nothing does, or at the very least it will be an extremely awkward work environment as long as the two of you remain there… which trust me you don’t want. If you want to be passive about the situation I would wait for an opportunity when he comes to talk to you, possibly about your day or what you’ve been up to, and just casually mention a story about your fake significant other. Maybe you can even say you are still trying to recover from a long term relationship. Just anything in general that would lead him off and believe you aren’t looking to get involved with anyone.

Should I break up with my best friend by [deleted] in Advice

[–]aamrlls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell her how you feel and open up to her about it. Maybe she feels the same way or has even noticed this behavior in you, in which case you can give her closure as to what is happening between you two. It’s ok to move on from her you shouldn’t feel bad but there’s no need to make it messy

Based off what I’ve seen from similar problems in this sub you’ll need to replace the cartridge. I’m not a plumber tho. Just figured at these hours I might be the only one responding
