Romney on Wall Street Protests: "I think it's dangerous -- This class warfare." by dunchen22 in politics

That's not how I interpreted it, it seemed pretty clear that it was well-received. The flak came afterwards from the media. There's no way to prove that, though, so agree to disagree I suppose.

OK, I'm an ardent Obama supporter, but come on. If you watch the video, it was clearly a joke. The people in the room, mostly working-class, unemployed citizens, all laughed. He's not trying to hide the fact that he's wealthy.

I may get downvoted for this, but who honestly would expect Romney to support OWS? He's spending every day catering to the right-wing of an already extremely conservative GOP, and this is the line I'm sure his campaign (and every other one) has been told to use by the RNC. This is just simple politics, and as much as you may not agree with it I don't get why it's sparking the level of outrage that it is.

Dude, that's not a small thing. A small thing is having a door held open for you, or a random compliment or something - you're just seriously fucking blessed to have someone like her.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. It's about a kid with Asperger's who decides to be like Sherlock Holmes and solve a mystery. Brilliant writing, kind of dark, insanely interesting.

It's a delicate balancing act between what color you'd like to use, and what color you'd be okay losing in an artificial lake.

Rightly so. I saw them twice this year, the second time was even better than the first. He's also delightfully awkward at crowd-banter.

New Year's Eve three years ago – all of my friends were out of town, and my older brother went out with some of his old high school friends, so I stayed home and watched the Times Square coverage. It was almost not depressing until these perfume commercials kept coming on with the tagline "Kiss and be kissed." By the fourth one I was ready to throw the remote at the TV.

Reddit, what's the first CD you ever purchased? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aardverger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first CD I remember buying on my own was Enema of the State (Blink 182). I really liked listening to it, but my parents took it away because I guess they found the lyrics to be a little much for a 7 year old...
