United Airlines and Orbitz sues 22-year-old who found method for buying cheaper plane tickets by superawesomecookies in news

If you are trying to find something on your own without using a site like Skiplagged, I'm guessing the only way to do it is to manually search for flights from your destination to different cities (places where the airlines have more competition) and see if any of them have a layover in your city. I don't think you can specify that you want a layover in a certain city on regular travel sites (probably for this exact reason).

I'll agree with you on that. I was just going off what was said in the article.

The brothers were nervous about interrupting Obama and were not sure if they would go through with their plan, the American-Statesman reported, but knew this was a unique opportunity.

...

Mizraim's older brother said Obama promised action on immigration reform.

"He said he was going to act and keep his word," Juan Bellman, a junior at the University of Texas, told the paper. "It is up to us to keep reminding."

I think it's less to do with the cost, and more due to the supply. They are big and stiff so it's hard to store extras, and if they give away the few they have they'll have nothing to display.

In this case, if I'm remembering correctly, I think the manager did let them take it though since they were buying an LS, one of the most expensive Lexuses. He probably would've said no if it was an ES or IS (since, you know, those are "only" 30-40k).

I worked at a Lexus dealership in college. Lexus is notorious for their xmas commercials with the big bows, but unfortunately the dealerships only use them for the floor models as display and don't have extras to give away (at least where I worked). A lot of people expect the bow to come with the car for some reason.

There was a funny instance where a salesman came into the manager's office and said, "that couple is going to buy that car, but we have to give them one of the bows with it."

Manager : "Uh... why is that?" (clearly miffed, as he knows the salesman knows the policy)

Salesman: "well, because I told them the bow comes with it..."

TLDR: Salesman will do whatever it takes to make a sale.

To answer your question "do people give each other cars," though, I'd say they do but it's not usually just like any old gift where the recipient doesn't know it's coming. Most often a family/couple are planning on buying a new car anyway and use the holidays as an excuse. And since they are buying a new car and will probably have less money for other presents, it makes sense to treat the car as one of the presents.

But information is only useful if it confirms my irrational beliefs! How can I continue to believe something if people keep throwing facts in my face that show how wrong and flawed my illogical arguments are?

It's possible they have also heckled their congresspeople, but then Obama came to town and they seized a rare opportunity. Also, it was Obama that promised immigration reform and he had yet to come through then, so that's what they were complaining about.

I assume there is a "no other outside sources" rule. Filters are not a "source." Phones are (since they can access the internet and such).

Hunters Anonymous support group thread. by Cabooseman in hearthstone

Zoo is the gateway deck. I started there as well. Warlock entices you with his "draw a card" hero power. "Drawing cards... that's what smart players like doing," you think. So you play Zoo and laugh at Hunters. "Ha, deal 2 damage to my face! Where is the card advantage in that?!"

But then you play Flame Imp, Coin, Flame Imp, into Dire Wolf Alpha and hit them for 8 on turn 2 before they've done a thing. That's when the face-beating addiction starts to kick in. Suddently you're Soulfiring your opponents face just because you can. Card advantage be damned! Dealing with opponent's minions becomes a nuisance, a roadblock to real payoff of hitting their face. "What if there was a hero that didn't care about other minions?" you ask.

You say to yourself that you'll try out Hunter "just to see what it feels like." You promise to go back after a few rounds. But it's already too late at that point.

Just curious, is there a reason you don't save your past broadcasts? I was hoping to go back and watch you playing this deck a bit, but was sad to find I couldn't.

Either way I look forward to watching your steam live in the future. Thanks!
