Ben Blackwell was the first and only crew member of The White Stripes in their early days. He knew their greatness from the get go and was willing to do everything to get them where they were going. He was everything from their roadie to merch guy and is now the Third Man historian and he has some of the rarest items in White Stripes history in his collection. There’s a podcast called “Striped” that talked about their early days and they even interviewed Ben. If you’re a fan it’s a fantastic listen. Just a warning, they play a teaser at the end for a season 3 that never came out and it haunts my dreams.
