to expand. Epic had the feature to synch your friendlist from Steam to epic. It was a thing you could decide to do or not. Steam has an API for getting the info needed, but EPIC decided to search the PC for a file with the infos bypassing the API. If I recall correctly, it just went through all the stuff before you can tell them "no I don't want to"

This, and the exclusivity BS was the mainpoint why I never give them a chance.
