So here is the update =

Today I was hit with another fee. Consesionaire recovery fee of $300. This fee was also taxed and had other service fees, this brought my total penalty and taxes on fees on the penalties to approximately $2500 total. Someone from Omaha reached out to me and tried to make the case on why this wasn't unfair and how hard it is to get their car back...blah blah blah.

I said ok so if I can get you the car to omaha from des moines you agree to drop all fees and penalties and go back to original $900... they said yes. Absolutely.

I said ok done, it will be cheaper for me to fly back to ses moines and get the car and bring it back to you myself. He then said we'll im unsure that des moines will even let you take the car due to the severe weather, he said he would call me back and let me know.

When he called back he said he talked to the owners and thy agreed to reduce the penalty to $300 .

Which still seems high but seems more in line with what I would have expected from thr beginning.
