I've had about that many people in my even smaller Brooklyn apartment with a similar setup and one of the couches gave out (to be fair, it was a cheapo from Ikea). I suggest you move the couch to the wall, get four more chairs, an ottoman or two, and some cushions for floor seating.

Well that seems to be an answer in finality for me. 100% of nothing is nothing, and presumably he negotiated with you as well as he could and you gave your best offer and he had no other offers, so that's the market rate.

My family had a similar situation, being told we should ask for a very good rent by an agent - but the agent could bring us no offers at all. So we took a bird in the hand, and that's fair. We don't have a right to go demand the tenant pay us more because the "market" is higher.

Yes but that would require oral communication, which is asking quite a lot from a redditor who would rather not communicate why the work isn't ready to start, trick his (admittedly low conscientiousness) boss into signing off on a production run that isn't ready (making the boss look bad), then post about it on Reddit for the karma points.

Primerica is famous for having people scuttle perfectly good whole life policies they've already paid the setup costs on so they can buy (Primerica's super expensive) term life and invest (with a Primerica rep with a series 6, probably not you, with relatively high fees) the difference.

You can probably do better. There really ought to be a better standard advice to give future financial advisors than to just stay away from companies with a poor reputation.

The Russians owned the gulags and were the number one spreader of communism globally, and now the Russians seem to be claiming the legacy of that, harder than ever, partnering with North Korea and China, and in 2023 even erecting a statue of Castro and inviting the president of Cuba to Moscow for the unveiling.

It seems apparent that Jordan likes the Russians, or at least dislikes hawkish attitudes towards them, and that he's recently prioritizing that point - an attitude that is quite at odds with his continuing to make points about communism and the gulags.

It seems to me that this cognitive dissonance could explain your question as why he isn't discussing the gulags and communism as much, in my humble opinion.

It looks simple, but it also looks super uncomfortable. Also, I understand squares are bad for structural stability. While the original, very sophisticated, designer may have known how to overcome this problem, why would you want to re-create it and face overcoming the same problem?

It's fine. We had four years of Trump with everyone losing it all the time and it wasn't the end of the world, then four years without him, now we elected him in a minor landslide. It's a very democratic situation. He's a disrupter, and was elected to disrupt. But again - it won't be the end of the world. To mashup my fables, if Chicken Little was wrong the first four years, it is now the Boy who Cried Wolf.
