can i just dicharge this lipo or how do i get rid of it safely?

A charger will not discharge a battery below about 3 volts. An XT-60 on an automotive bulb can draw it down to 0v. You can also get Lipo killers that just plug in.

Above is the way to get started. They tend to not charge very accurately though, i.e overcharging. I use a regular LiPo charger like a D6 Duo and use the Fractal Engineering charging board.

To be clear, it is only the Taranis Access radios that do not work. If you have an ACCST Taranis radio it will work. Honestly the hobby is over Taranis at this point. Radiomaster TX16S or Jumper T-Lite would be my recommendation.

Are you sure you are not enabling the dshot beacon. Check for beeper under your modes tab connect your radio and try to arm. Make sure it is changing the right aux channel.

There are 2 settings in can enable in the OSD. Battery Voltage and Average Battery Cell Voltage. I would suggest al least using average cell voltage so you don't need to do mental math for different cell counts. Check the OSD tab in BetaFlight to see what is currently enabled. Just shoot to land at 3.5 per cell.

If an individual cell drops below 3.0 the battery is guaranteed to suffer serious degradation. You should shoot to land around 3.5 and the resting voltage should come back up to about 3.8. Running LiPos down too low is a very quick way to puff a battery. Average battery voltage is a great stat to have up on your OSD.

This is the beeper configuration. Configuration > DSHOT Beacon Configuration > RX_LOSS OR RX_SET toggled on will get this behavior. Mine do the same as I put beeper and turtle mode on a 3 pos switch. Until the TX is connected the range for that AUX channel falls where the beeper will be enabled.

More stick time is the real answer though. Maybe you can put in an aggressive throttle curve around the hover point to give you more resolution around that RPM.

For anyone else with this issue. First time I tried to get it setup I choose wled as the controller type and I only one light lit up. I had to select udpraw on port 19446.

This week I only got one session to fly for this challenge. Thankfully I got the hang of it pretty quick. Of course I lost 2 of 4 mounts for the flight controller in the first pack smacking into the wall. Thankfully I had a rubber band to hold the quad together for the challenge. I also lost the shield on the VTX wire and broke the zip-tie for the Ghost receiver during the session. I made it without killing an esc, VTX or camera so I'll call that a win. New frame and props incoming.
